Google's playground grows up 10:31am on 15 Jul 2009 If Google make an operating system half as reliable and usable as their web based services, you won't find me complaining.

I don't use GMail much - mainly because I could never get it to pick up my other email accounts, but I do use the Calendar, so this is welcome news.
Glow Technical Overview 04:25am on 11 Jul 2009 I'm not sure how it can be seen as biased to ask a user to upgrade to a better browser, when their current one fails to support modern standards? That's like the government not asking people to change their driving style to a more acceptable one, because their current one is causing accidents, because they don't want to be seen as biased towards a specific style of driving.

Ludicrous.

Also, I'm disappointed that the internet can not revolve around a javascript library. It seems to me that lots of different libraries, all supporting different features and platforms help nobody.

Facebook - growing up fast 02:18am on 03 Jul 2009 Facebook's less is more approach to design was much appreciated. Myspace pages blare awful music at you the moment you enter - Facebook pages are discrete and easy to navigate. The entire user experience is very easy, and despite a few complaints, the latest design of the home page is much better.

No, I can't believe that Facebook will be 'cash positive' but it looks like Twitter is relying on the age old policy of their business model being "we'll work it out later" too - so at least they'll have some company when they sink.
Video Bay: A young YouTube? 8:17pm on 29 Jun 2009 HTML 5 Video tags are partially supported in the Gecko, WebKit and Presto to a partial extent - that is the rendering engines behind Firefox, Safari and Chrome, and Opera respectively.

HTML 5 in it's entirety is not supported by any browser.
Changes to international pages (3) 00:48am on 21 Jun 2009 Your payment of the license fee doesn't pay for YOU to recieve the BBC output, it pays for that location to recieve BBC output. That is why it is payable per residence, not per person.

If you are an expat / Britain living abroad, you do not have access to the full UK content. This shouldn't and won't change - it isn't part of the BBC's mandate.

If you are on British resident living within the boundaries of the United Kingdom, and are being cited as living outside, then I suggest you put a complaint in to the BBC.

Can Digital Britain top the league? 1:19pm on 17 Jun 2009 Survey's have shown that most of the people who don't have broadband don't want it. Why should the country be taxed (and an odd way to raise funds as well) to pay for it? This won't be enough, won't lead the world, and is a very odd way to raise revenue. Poll tax by the back door - a flat rate for all payers.

The tax system in this country just got slightly more complicated.
