Sergeant quits Strictly! Has he done the right thing? 2:02pm on 20 Nov 2008 As it is with "Dancing on ice" the playing field is far from level. Rachael Stevens is wonderfull but surely she must have spent hours and weeks with choreographers in music videos and stage shows before she entered this competition. John could never compete with people like her anyway so he's done a superb job of even attempting these dances. He's also not 23 years old either which again is a great accomplishment for an older guy.

For them to say he didn't train hard enough is also completely unfair, surely the way he has shaped up physically shows he's been putting in the hours and again for an older guy, well done to him!!

Its a real shame that they put John on the show in the beginning to have an underdog and then attack him for not being as good as someone alread yin the stage/music business. He's done himself very proud and the outpouring of support for him shows this.

Shame on the judges...
Tracing your ancestry? 11:40am on 20 Nov 2008 If you knew where and when someone worked and knew what they did and knew they were french for example...

Would any of you experts out there know how they could be traced without their name? Tax returns or immigration for example? Do they have such records?

I only put it in as a bit of a joke. There's no need to be nasty about it.

Plus I've never even met Alison Wier. I didn't even know she had a school, I certainly didn't go to it. Her space physics is terrible apparantly..

I'm just a lowly old rocket/space scientist who likes a bit of light history and was just commenting on the fact that he was the last "English" king to die in battle.

Sorry for the joke.. I hadn't realised it was a humour free zone. I actually thought the one show was a rather light hearted affair..

No-one really minded after he killed the two boy princes in the tower though...
