Banks: The new welfare dependents 1:36pm on 12 Nov 2008 The Bank of England have made a massive mistake with keeping interest rates high , well after it was obvious the oil price had blown its bubble . I understood any interest rate cuts takes 6 months to feed through , so the next 6 months are going to be very hard , but borrowing will become very cheap mid next year . Unfortunately / fortunately only customers with good credit scores will be able to benefit . Believe me there is plenty of people who will take on new debt if the maths work . In property a lot of cash investors are just awaiting for the bottom to become more apparent .
