Bonus culture lives 09:39am on 15 May 2009 Do we want some high flyer who will spend his time thinking up ways to earn a big bonus.

What we want is someone who will take a deposit from a saver and lend it to a stable SME for a slightly higher rate of interest than he paid the saver.

You do not need to be a high earner to be a banker, just an honest person, happy with their lot, like the cashiers you find in any high street bank.

Thats convenient for the Government they have found someone to buy them.

So Darling Gordon lends the banks money, they lend it back, and round and round it goes.

Does no one care that Tesco is making so much out of a 'basic for life' when we are approcahing record unemployment.

I am glad Tesco is moving into banking as hopefully their greed at others exspense will kick back in their face, although I am sure Terry has his pension sorted out.

I hope their is such thing as reincarnation as GB will need to lose his pension in the next life as well as this to make up for all he has done.
Will Obama pay Goodwin's pension? 11:05am on 24 Mar 2009 So where is this deflation that we have had to reduce interest rates to near zero and start printing money to avoid, or has that worked already.

Well done all concerned perhaps we can start seeing interest rates going back up, which will push the pound up and food prices down, gently does it, we do not want to really have deflation.

Time to hug a banker? 10:58am on 17 Mar 2009 So all the money pumped in to the banks will be paid back by the banks so that our children and grandchildren will not be lumbered. I think not.

Had we have let the banks go it is Johnny foreigner who would have picked up the tab, not my children and grandchildren.

We are one the last legs of a failed system the quicker everyone realises the better.
Should the Bank of England buy shares? 12:08pm on 13 Mar 2009 Why stop at shares they could buy houses, cars, TV's, holidays, clothes even food.

I knew once this printing money idea caught on we would be in for one big jolly.
