I'm afraid you must either be very naieve or very gullible.

The severe recession (virtually now a depression) we are now in will mean the so called 'major' economies will not recover for a generation. If they ever truely recover.

The FIAT money principles of recent times are now dead and will not be resusitated. The massive fractional reserve lending policies seen in recent years has seen to that.

I work in the financial services industry and before this crisis started the now disgraced FSA's most recent 'ethical' policy was entitled 'treating customers fairly'.

I think any new policy implemented by this now thoroughly discredited organisation should start with 'treating tax payers fairly'.

Also pronounced DOA is the once great UK banking system.

Once one of the big bank fails all the rest will fail just like a house of cards.

We, the people of the UK, must stop the madness that has overcome our politicians and bankers (who seem to want to squander every bit of taxpayers money) and build this country up again from the roots.
We've lent £185bn to banks 4:39pm on 03 Feb 2009 I'm afraid it doesn't matter how much money we've lent the banks because once one of the US banking giants finally topple (see Obama comments last night and also refer to what is being said in most US blogs) the rest including the UK banks will fall like a house of cards.

I totally concur with your thoughts on the angry mob, however what I think is needed is some form of civil disobedience akin to that practised by Martin Luther King, Ghandi and others.

Also please whatever you do, do not even entertain the thought of getting a 'celeb' on board. It is the 'celeb' culture and all that surrounds it, that has led to the dumbing down of this once great nation.

Good to see people getting together to try to find alternative solutions, however I believe the only solution now viable is substanial and direct action in order to for the ordinary persons voice to be fully heard.

If you're planning to demonstrate as close as you can get to the G20 summit then I think you'll find you'll have a large (and noisey) turn out.

If, however, you are planning to have a 'cosy chat' somewhere then it's a non starter as 'cosy chats' are what got UK to the position it's now in in the first place.
