Drogba inflicts pain on Liverpool 09:16am on 05 Oct 2009 Well, I can't say I thought the article cut the mustard, the same old arguments about how Benetiz lines up his team and how Drogba & Terry got up for this game.

Benetiz cannot get away from staying defensively minded in these games. The exception was at OT last year but he had nothing to lose and Liverpool's title chances had gone. He hopes that his two star players will do something magic. He seems not to trust Yossi Benayoun, who constantly out performs most Liverpool players.

Liverpool will do no better than previous years and will look to European glory for their silverware

Chelsea will win the league, defensively there are the best team around. When the go ahead nigh imposdssible to get level let alone in front. Any stats guys out there know howmany games Chelsea have lost when in front in the last couple of years?

Ferguson revels in classic win 08:43am on 21 Sep 2009 The game although exciting was not high on quality, both defences covered themselves in little glory, individually all were poor. City in particular look less than sound, they gave the ball away countless times. I supoose it makes for a good watch?

I'm convinced that once teams starve them of the ball, then City's sparkle will dim quite quickly

I'm no Utd lover but City's lack of class in particulat the type of player's they've bought made me root for the team who've built the club and earned the right to spend the money.

Again two weeks runing Hughes has seen one of his player act appallingly, an idiot who ran on the pitch granted, but he was restrained an no threat to the players, any need to go over? I think not. But Bellamy like Adebyor the previous week showed the lack of class as person not a footballer. bellamy should be banned

as for the time, Hughes opens himself to all types of hypocracy, A Utd player for some time and scorer or goals deep into added time himself (Oldham FA cup Semi anyone?), a manger of teams both at national and international level. At some point this season City will score a goal in added time, correctly added or not.

We all know that play until the whislte goes, City got their goal decided that was it and retreated into their half, invited Utd on and hey they scored, big surprise. You really expect Utd to sit there and go fair enough? A bit naive me thinks and shows City need to learn a pretty routine lesson
Adebayor madness mars Man City win 09:50am on 14 Sep 2009 Lots of different strands to this games

Man City, are showing the same disreguard Chelsea showed when money clouds the issue, the club is showing a no class whatsoever

Adebyedor is a average attacker who didn't hack it at Arsenal, is incredibly selfih and has a proven track record of unprofessionalism, anyone remember how he held is national team to ransom before the world cup?

Arsenal, strap in gunners the season maybe a long and difficult one for a club with high ambitions

RVP, well fella you got stamped on agreed he should be banned but really do you have any room for comment, you are ill tempered at best and have so very questionable actions against yourself, I'd wind your neck in

Arsenal fans, don't think your excused, you taunted your own player for weeks before he left your club and spent the entire game giving him stick. You get back what you give out leaern to take because things aren't going your way........

Overall, not the best advert for the English football, not the team but foreign players who bring the game into disrepute.........

Phil, Aaron Lennon end product? If you watched properly his cross for SG was not were he was playing it, he never looked and it was in my opinon over hit.

England will undoubtably overcome most opposition and 9/10ths of the team is there, but out wide we need several options, wingers by there very nature are inconsistent

James Milner may not be as fast but his end product is way more considered and he uses both feet, he actually looks before he crosses

Anyhow any player should get a ban for this type of behaviour. Mr Wenger contact does not equal foul just as not contact doesn't always equal no foul. Intent on both sides should be judged whether you get the ball or not.

Eduardo, never a pen. Rooney, always going to be a pen regardless of his actions, doesn't mean he shouldn't get banned

Manchester City making waves 12:53pm on 24 Aug 2009 I think whether you agree with City or not you can see why they've conducted their business in this way. However there's a clue in why they've got the players they've signed.

Barry, has been agitating for a move for 18 months
Tevez, not the player everyone thinks he is
Toure, Arsene letting go because he had better
Adeybyor, ditto
Robinho, he would of moved anywhere at the time
SWP, not good enough for Chelsea

The entire list had a reason to leave or where not quite good enough at the top clubs

The real crime is Mark hughes, a man I thought had some class as player and decent views, he comes oyut of this poorly in my eyes.

As for Everton, they will be fine but will undoubtably be quoted a few more millions for their targets. If Moyes doesn't agree he won't buy as he's that stubborn.

Who will be market movers? 12:09pm on 30 Jun 2009 The only way Everton unfortunatley can give themselves a leg up is to sell Lescott for a price which would make peope laugh. Anything around 25m would be acceptable.

Why sell and get nothing from the deal, it's no surprise that Yobo signed a fresh deal on the back of the specualtion, having lost his place and righlty so (he still is impetuous and makes rash tackles), he knows the place is his.

Everton still need a fit, mid twenties striker and a a pair of wingers to create chances against teams who amazingly are beginning to shut up shop against us!!!!
