Review of the week 4:31pm on 19 Sep 2009 Our rugby coach in Year 9 (B team) used 'bouncebackability' in his post-match teamtalks every week. Presumably because every week we got battered by a slightly less embarrasing scoreline.

Fewer votes for BNP 7:41pm on 08 Jun 2009 I live in the Yorkshire and the Humber region (Hull, to be precise) and last week's election was the first time I was elgible to vote. I am ashamed that it was our region that first elected the British National Party (and a former member and leader of the National Front to boot) to Europe. Come on Messrs Brown, Cameron and Clegg, sort your act out! And people of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, if as I suspect you voted BNP out of frustration and as a protest, it pains me to say it but not voting would be a far more effective protest, and a better use of your vote.
Back in the Real world 4:08pm on 04 Jun 2009 Robbo's right: during the galacticos era i.e. after Del Bosque was ludicrously sacked and Makelele, Real won precisely nada until Perez was sacked. They failed to sign Vieira because Perez, knowing apparently nothing about football whatsoever, refused to pay good wages for a 'defensive player'.
As for the money, it helps when you have links with the royal family of your country, and when the creditors are all pressured not to chase too hard.

Barcelona have threats all over the pitch, with Xavi's eye for a pass, Iniesta's dancing feet and tireless workrate, Henry getting somewhere near the Arsenal glory days again, and Eto'o's pace and lethal finishing.
As for who's better, Ronaldo is a very good, an excellent player, as much as I don't like him a great deal. But Messi has genius in his boots, the likes of which have not been seen since...well, Maradona.
Daylight Droggery! 10:26pm on 11 May 2009 I'm not sure how legendary United were on Tuesday, Arsenal were frankly rubbish and would have (indeed, have) lost to the likes of Stoke, Villa and the other Manchester lot playing like that.
Can Wenger fill the gap? 8:12pm on 04 May 2009 Jimmyhoov: A top-class striker and centre-back would also help the team.

Agreed, we do need a quality centre-back to help when Toure/Gallas is injured, but striker-wise we already have Adebayor, Eduardo and RVP. Yaya Toure (or Senna) would be a magnificent addition, possibly even more so than the centre-back.
Footie in all its Glory 1:33pm on 07 Apr 2009 I found it a little bit churlish, and totally out of character, when Martin O'Neill was complaining about United getting 4 minutes of injury time. Macheda scored in the second minute.

Firstly, without wishing to gloss over the less than glowing reputation of the Mossad, they actually informed the FBI and the CIA of preparations for the 9/11 attacks in August 2001, as well as capturing the 'architecht of the Holocaust' Adolf Eichmann in Argentia.
Secondly, and more importantly, you are making an allegation that you have not backed up, and in fact cannot be substantiated. This Mossad agent idea came from one (self-admittedly biased)journalist's interpretation of a report from a retired assistant director of the FBI. This same article also 'fingered' as a Mossad spy, wait for it: Monica Lewinsky. Go figure.
