The PM Glass Box. 10:45am on 09 May 2009 Here we go again .....Yet another Minister cheating once again. Can somebody tell me why they keep letting them off . Don't they know this is theft, or do they think that they are above the law and can continue to do these things without recourse.

The trouble is, we will have to endure the same politicians lining up to tell us this is only an oversight ....or a mistake...then the odd one will say there are only a small number of politicians that are crooked and do these things but the majority are honest individuals.
...Well maybe they are, but the growing truth of these continual events is that it seems there is an air of 'them and us' we [the politicians] are above the law and the rest of you are stupid enough to let us continue to fleece the country without any consequences.

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME THIS WAS STOPPED.
There needs to be a radical change in the parliamntary setup and pay.

Beryl Bainbridge and the Liverpool accent. 4:57pm on 23 Jan 2009 The different accents in this, and every other country are what makes a country interesting. Have you heard a New Yorker or a Texan talking? It's the difference that make language interesting
The only problem I have with the spoken word nowadays in this country, is that the teaching of the English Language since the late seventies, have meant that every word is now spoken phonetically , ...this leads to pronouning the word incorrectly in many cases, I now wonder if a dictionary still uses the symbols to denote the inflections and natural breaks in words to enable us to pronounce them properly.
For many of us in the autumn of our lives just listening to the radio for 15 minutes will soon tell you that pronouniation is no longer important to our modern day society.
Dining on super-foods, want to join us? 11:18am on 21 Jan 2009 'Super foods , Organic, Natural, Fresh and Local' .....all words thrown around by our supermarkets and food experts - The cheapest and most satisfying way to get 'Natural, Organic, Fresh and Local is to grow as much of it as you can.
These food experts are just passing on and expounding the current Fad or Fashion and it will surely change in a while to some other super food , be it some Mongolian, Chilean or Russian Cuisine .
Most food we can buy nowadays is of a good quality and nutritional value, the main thing is the quantity that we eat, as a nation we eat far more [whatever it is Frozen or Fresh] than we burn off working or playing.
Just eat carefully and wisely, and get the enjoyment of growing your own food.
Suggest a story 4:00pm on 20 Jan 2009 Does anyone else out there think we could start a new political party that was not aimed at big business and the self imporance of our own politicians....but would put England and its People first.
Surely the Government we have now is so useless and without any positive leadership, that it immediately gave a handout to the banks and big business when it is the English People that are the mainstay of this country and are the ones really struggling And now....they have got their hand out again for more money.
Businesses and Banks come and go, but the people will always be there and deserve better....
The global financial meltdowncrisisdownturncrisis crisis. 5:15pm on 19 Jan 2009 This Financial Crisis seems to be on the verge of being even worse than the 1929 one, just how could it get so bad ?... I think that perhaps it is to late to try and manage it, everything they seem to try is of no avail and perhaps we should try and ride it out, and for heaven's sake learn from it .......
The time for the stick the 'Finger in the Dyke' syndrome is rapidly coming to its end.

Honours. 5:29pm on 31 Dec 2008 Well, after looking at this last New Years Honours List, I think it is about time we did away with them for good.
Looking down the list I can see how worthless and pointless they they have become.

When all of these Honours were first instigated they were presented for excellence in their recipients lifetime commitment to their work what ever it was , the main words are COMMITMENT. and LIFETIME,in this year's list I see very little evidence of this.
How's my driving? 1:40pm on 30 Dec 2008 I once again have a feeling of being out of step with the world,

Being retired and not having the need or wish to drive any more. I decided that I would sell my car and give up driving. After all, what pleasure is there in driving on overcrowded roads with fellow drivers who are rushing about for a variety of reasons.

The speed of modern day society has not only made us all intolerant to others , but, in relationship to the majority of todays' drivers, the standard of driving is very poor.
Although the driving test is so much harder today than it was fifty years ago, today's drivers do not have the time to learn the many skills that are now needed to cope with modern day traffic. .

People of my age, unfortunately do not have the quick reactions and quick thinking that are now needed for modern day driving.

Now I travel by taxi to do my shopping, and use public transport for longer distances.
By being able to plan my travel and not just go down to shop for a bag of sugar or whatever on a whim,.... but being able to plan to do several things in one journey... proves not only to be very cost effective, but cuts my carbon footprint [modern day parlance]

No , now I will let the younger generations do the driving..... I've done over 50years behind the wheel. and ....I can live without it now.
Strictly shocker. This copy just filed: 4:00pm on 23 Dec 2008 That sounds just about right for the BBC......Nowadays that seems normal practice -yet another 'balls up'.

Do they do this on purpose ? Or are they just good at getting things wrong.
