Welcome to Autumnwatch Unsprung 7:08pm on 10 Oct 2009 I found a hedgehog in my garden during the day time. We looked it up on the internet and we phone a wildlife place and they said that if a hedgehog is out in the day it is in trouble.
So we took it to a wildlife sanctuary and they took him and weighed him and told us that he was fine, nothing wrong with him, and they asked us if we would like to adopt another 2!
So we did, so we had 2 boys and a girl ( i named them, spike, inky and peanut)
We made a feeder for them with 4 bricks and a plank of wood, so they can get underneath but the cats can't, and we feed them peanut butter every night. ( only a little bit so they can forage for themselves)
And then we found another one in our garden! ( i named this one henry)
But sadly we found Inky (which we adopted) ill and lying in the garden, she had tics all over her and flies round her and was clearly very unwell. We took her back to the sanctuary and they have her now.
We are hoping she will be ok. We see them at night, snuffling round the garden. They are quite friendly and only curl into a ball if we come right up close.
I would just like to know, when should i stop feeding them? Because i know they go into hibernation in october/november so when do you think i should stop?

What's going on in YOUR garden?! 8:42pm on 04 Nov 2008 Yep we have hedgehogs, field mice, grass snakes (only in summer), foxes and badgers. oh and bats, we get LOADS of bats flying round.
Clever Crows 8:40pm on 04 Nov 2008 The crows in our village mean a lot to everyone who lives there.
Every year we have a "Crow Fair" and we have badges and t-shirts and hats you can buy and me and my parents are on the comittee who runs it.
It is probably the most famous festival in our village.
That was the week... 5:56pm on 02 Nov 2008 no i'm not in on monday so i'll miss it!!
Oh and by the way why is it monday-thursday? why not friday?

Have you seen any Muntjacs? 8:19pm on 30 Oct 2008 I think there are a few in Delamere forest and i saw one in Whitegate but i havent seen anything else in Cheshire i'll keep my eye out
