Expenses and unemployment 05:21am on 17 Oct 2009 Just watched Straight Talk and Andrew interviews Harriet Harman MP. and Ms Harman did the best stone walling of any question I have seen for a long time by any MP

Andrew are you slipping you more times that not get the answer but Ms Harman seemed to be able to duck and dive all your question with out giving any answers and if Ms Harman did stand for the leadership of the Labour Party and got it

we would not know anything as she is more skilled than most others at not giving the answer it was frightening watching you not getting the answers as you have interviwed some of the best at ducking and diving the answers
Expenses, Libya and the pound 02:30am on 14 Oct 2009 The expenses scandal if you claimed that sort of money from DWP in benefits wrongly you would be looking at a long jail time and paying the money back but MP's have fix it so they don't have to face that sort of thing

So when they bang on about those who are on benefits they should look at themselves first and see if what they are getting is right for what they do

Me thinks not

it seems as if you are a MP you can change the laws in such away that you can do as you like

MP's pay and expenses should be put to the people in a vote every time they want a increase
Cameron's very personal plea 00:53am on 09 Oct 2009 Conservative leader David Cameron has said he is "ready to be tested"
Most of what he as said this week seems to play well to those who have jobs and money but you look at what he his saying it is a one way street those who have are going the get those who have not will lose more to pay for those who have

I have not seen any one party leader over the past 3 weeks say any thing that will get me to vote for there party in 2010 as most of it as been spin that come getting the key to number 10 will be forgotten by them
unless it means hitting the poor
Cameron keeps schtum on Lisbon 05:48am on 05 Oct 2009 Well we are all in for a hard time if DC gets to number 10 cuts in benefits by moving people from one benefit to another and that will lead to crime going up.

What gets me is that all incapacity benefit claimants are all ready assessed yearly to see if they are fit for work.

So this is another peace of spin in the hope those who have jobs will fall for it
Can Brown stay silent? 10:44am on 25 Aug 2009 Mr Brown as no need to make any comment on this matter as it is a matter of Scottish law and the Scottish parliament

If he did make a comment it would be seen as interfering in Scottish affaires and when the trial took place is was under Scottish Law and all party's concerned excepted that

I find it funny that the Tories are making a fuss about it

It would of been a diffrent thing if it had been under English Law
Alan Duncan apology 00:55am on 13 Aug 2009 Well we know once the Conservatives get in to power they are going to make changes to some laws that effect MP's so they can still make a good living

MP's have just not really taken on board that they are not an MP's to make themselves rich but to serve the people
Gray report: Still waiting for No 10 response 11:57pm on 06 Aug 2009 The MoD has received the draft version of this review and the issues identified are being discussed with Bernard Gray.

Did not New Labour and Conservatives agree not to release such repots till the House of Parliament had heard what was in the report first

Is this another Mod report that some one in the MoD thinks they can make some thing out of it

if it is leaked to the press there may be political gain in it for some of them

It looks to me that there are too many civil servants in the MoD who do not know

How to draw up procurement and specification contracts that requires suppler's to deliver on time and in budget and on spec

These Contracts should have an life time up grade guarantee in them so that if the supplier up grades the equipment in the life time of the contract the supplier will automatically up grade the spec on the the equipment at no extra cost

I all so can under stand why Equipment is never bought to a world wide operating spec

That is to say that the equipment can be modified in 48 hours to operate in any where in the world
Why men are to blame for the crunch 1:34pm on 29 Jul 2009 I have worked for a woman boss most of my working life and to be honest they listen and are more open to suggestions and tend to look at the pros and cons in more detail of any changes in working practice they don't allways look at the profit first as the reason for the changes but look at other things like how it makes staff happy to turn up for work

They also tend to get out of the office and go and do the job themselves to see what it is like to do the job and see for themselves what the changes mean to how the changes work for the benefit of everyone

where male bosses just take it that some consultant who as not done the job can tell them that there is more profit in the changes and will work regardless

I'm not quite sure why you want to concatenate your local police with the armed forces of the UK by using "our" as the possessive for both. There are obvious reasons of political party partiality why wearing a Union Jack badge would be inappropriate throughout various areas of the UK.

Since London postures as the UK as well as the English capital city, that might be the reason. Why don't you phone your local police station and find out?

Is the Union Jack not the National Flag of the United Kingdom and anyone who is in the armed forces go's in to battle under the Union Jack

There are too many PC correct people in this country most other country's display there National Flag with pride and not hide it as some thing to be ashamed of
'Safe in our hands' 04:33am on 29 Jul 2009 Met chiefs have decreed that the tiny emblems which cost £1 with proceeds going to charity must be removed after a complaint that they are offensive.
Police officers being banned from wearing Union Flag badges in support of British troops.

This stinks why can not our police force show there support for our armed forces after all they are both in the service of the Queen and Country
