The truth is that Clinton is going to be VP in 4 years and then she is going to be president in 8. This is a way for her to get Foreign Policy experience and work in the executive branch. So long as things do not fall apart, then we could see Hillary running very strong in 2012. This strategy is why she took Sec State because it is the only way that she could be president. On the other hand, things go badly on foreign policy, or a major gaffe, and she is a liability and will soon find it hard to be elected to anything. If she is not running for president in 2016, she will not be running for anything and will be out of politics.
Will we be as negative about Obama when things go wrong?

I find it shameful that Americans have attacked Bush in this manner. He was never impeached and he was much better at the transition than Clinton. Yeah, he is not a populist like Bill, but he never wanted the type of presidency he was given. If we all remember way back when, Bush was on course for a non-interventionist foreign policy and better relations with Mexico. History will show that he did as well as he could with the hand that he was dealt. What would have Obama or Gore done in response to 9-11? Talk to the Taliban? Talk to Iraq? Wait? Make jokes about seances and short people (but quickly apologise) Good grief we now have the apologiser in chief. Dude, make a joke and take the flak but do not apologise. If you need to apologise, maybe you should not be making the joke in the first place. So much for Obama's brain, tact and diplomacy.

I would get a decent customer care culture. The staff in the UK are often rude, suspicious, and in some cases hostile. What does it cost to have a smile and want to help a customer. If a store closes at 6 why do they shut at 5:50pm? At least Starbucks stays open 10 minutes past the closing to accomodate customers. This is a US thing finally catching on in the UK. Then again, people in the UK seem to think that customer service means to be subservient rather than doing good business.
Always remember, home is where your heart is.

I read the Krauthammer piece and it makes sense to me as an uncertain voter. What surprises me is that you have described it as a passionate and vigorous defence. The points are simply common sense. If Palin is inexperienced, why is Obama not inexperienced? If Mc Cain is running a dirty campaign, why not report the statements that Obama's campaign made? More to the point, why have YOU not made the same points? If you are covering the election, why have you not reported the slurs?
If we are to elected a president for their judgement (Pace Edmund Burke) why not ask about Obama's judgement with Wright and Ayer. Why did he only disavow them when the public noticed? If he never sought to know more about Ayer and no one in his staff looked at him (after all Ayer helped launch Obama in Chicago politics), what does that say about his judgement?

To put it directly, I ask you to scan Yahoo News and note how many stories focus on McCain and Palin's gaffes, misteps, and foibles. I rarely see any mention of Obama's or Biden's yet the blogs and you tube contain them. Why is there such a difference? Coincidence? Hardly, the difference is that each receives a different slant. You demonstrate this by making Krauthammer sound nearly irrational by his passion and vigour rather than his reason, logic, and ACCURACY, which used to be the mark of the BBC
