Europe - ticking time bomb? 11:22pm on 01 Nov 2008 The E.U. seems to be governed by Germany, and France.
Of what benefit is that to other single currency nations, who are clearly on another wavelength economically.
The E.U. and the Euro are closely linked, due to the nations involved.

Smokiesteele I totally agree with you, although the more security this country can get the better.

Maybe Denmark will be our friend!?

i)I would propose greater means tested databases upon Ad and As.

ii)Greater talks upon world AID and meeting the G8 green targets.

iii)Proposals upon speding within Europe itself.

iv)How to protect single currency nations.

v)What the future prospects hold for the E.U. itself.

vi)How single currency nations stand within the E.u. in regard to funding and various other commitments financially

The E.U. stands for much more than just a constitution. The Euro plays a major role in "friendships." Trade etc....

We have to ensure that British exports are appealing and at a fair price. Subsidation of taxes and "embargos" may be of use to ensure that Britain can hit the shelves.
In affect marketing the nation to Europe.

We do have culture belive it or not. ; )
Europe - ticking time bomb? 9:23pm on 30 Oct 2008 Joining the Euro would most definatly have a negative impact our Financial Service sector.

It would not free up the Job market, and as we know the British don't tend to intergrate that well aboroad.
Hence I believe joining the Euro is not exactly the right move.

The E.U itself is a vaild Organisation in principle, yet it isn't exactly that fair. Something to do with the C.A.P which I cant explain.

We do need to be part of the EU, as Its rather like the UN.

I must remind those....Britain will never be bullied.

Besides as if the GLOBAL recession could have been stopped!

Im sure Brown is confident enough to sort out any economic kinks.
The rebirth of Gordon Brown? 10:11pm on 24 Oct 2008 David Cameron said today was the day the "10 year threat of recession actually became real."
The £ is down against the $, however we need to lower the pound anyway to encourage foreign investment in the UK.

The likes of Lidl certainly seem very appealing to the credit crisis affectees...yet this really doesn't do our economy any ffavours. People need to invest in UK based firms, and carefully spend their money.

"Buy one get one free" is a killer. Being sucked into buying that extra one product that you don't need and spending that extra £1.50 is the story of the past few years..economies of scale is what is really needed...and fast.
Where do the profits of the large supermarkets really go? Does the Multiplyer effect actually exist in the UK anymore? I don't think so. Sunk costs within expansion to battle against each other is pathetic.

What is the OFCOM VERSION OF SUPERMARKETS?

My advice is to spend wisely, locally and save at the same time too. Don't apply for things you may not be able to afford in 5months time..nothing is for certain.

By the way im a student...so don't start about saving money...we know best.

"Theres only two things that are certain in life... Death and Taxes."

Apperently 60p of tax goes to the monarchy each year, to be honest i dont care. I think thats quite cheap really. If it means upholding what England stands for then i would pay a tenner! I'm not sure anyone would understand what its like to be a king or queen unless you know one.

Im more concerned about how taxes could be used in a benefical way..like helping disabled people around the country.

How will the press deal with his recluse like tactic?
and How much do the Americans believe what they see and hear on the news?
