Skills training under scrutiny 4:40pm on 21 Oct 2008 UPDATE
I contacted Skillstrain today and have been advised that my course MOS has been upgraded to MCAS 2007. They have agreed to send me updated/current training material and to pay for me to take my exam at an external exam centre (as they are not approved) at no extra cost to me. I have just confirmed all this in writing to them, and asked for confirmation back, so watch this space...Contact them and see what they have to say about your course. Well done Watchdog, you do make a difference!!
Skills training under scrutiny 8:32pm on 20 Oct 2008 I too signed up to an interest free payment option at £65.00 a month for 2 years. My 1st section of course work for the (MOS) was 2002, the CD's sent 2003, then I received Windows XP, then Office Professional 2007 Software. All paperwork relates to 2003. As I am confident in all applications accept Access, I have managed to complete the course work without the need of the tutors, however when I did require their help, and when I quieried the differences between material the replies I have received have been of no use. I have to date learnt nothing from this course that I did not already know and it was sold to me as being the latest/most upto date training course I would take. Don't spend your money, you can use the Microsoft self learning sections on-line and learn just as much. Which is what I am doing to complete the Access section. I wish I'd never started the course, but really have no choice but to complete it, or I may as well have just burned my money!!!
