Estimated US population is 305 million
Only 121 million voted based on the reported popular vote (never mind electoral system for now)

The following voter figures are in millions:
Obama 63,893 or 52%
McCain 56,404 or 46%
Nader 658 or 1%
Barr 489 or 1%
Keyes 35 negligible %

Conclusion is Obama is elected by 21% or 1/5th the US population

Election 2008 - Live 06:05am on 05 Nov 2008 Just as the BrOther moved to the center when he learned he needed to be less liberal (dare I say share the wealth socialist?) to win the election (about the time his accent became more mid-western versus urban) he WILL...no doubt disappointing a whole lot of his supporters when he cannot deliver on his promises.

Soft imperalism 04:22am on 04 Nov 2008 Today, for the first time, I heard a recent Obama speech broadcast on a national syndicated radio show - where Obama specifically suggests the USA should have a "Private Army" to assist the regular US Army

Funny how the change he has been talking about leaves out a lot of details...

WHAT EXACTLY is a "Private Army?"
Why poll numbers vary 06:09am on 27 Oct 2008 Issue:
IF Obama DOES hyjack the election (opps, politically incorrect = I mean: anointed THE CHOSEN ONE), how is he going to pay back all the people he has made promises to?

After all, he has voted 90% with the unpopular democrats, has only TWO years as US Senator witha short career based on running for President, how can he manage it?

With a VP choice like Bidan is this the leadership the country can look forward too?

As I recall there was a point when CNN etc camp declared Obama's victory over Hilary in PA based on their poll data...

NOW CNN & rest of the media is chiming in on the consistent (?) 50% lead over McCain?
Since when is 50% a majority? Is this intimidation tactic or the proverbial measuring the drapes?

This news is anecdotal at best

An almost forgotten retired Army General that did not finish the job in Iraq the first time...the ONLY thing to Colin's credit is he does not stand to gain a job from Obama's election like all the other endorsees that have been salivating for their messiah to hire them for the last 8 years...

Maybe if the Pillsbury Doughboy endorsed Obama CNN would carry that 24 hour "breaking news" too
