Achy breaky body 4:34pm on 04 Dec 2009 Loved the video, obviously Sir Tel's decided the time was right to concentrate on his burgeoning pop career. Personally, I'd like him to make an album of cover versions, my suggestion being `Firestarter' by The Prodigy....

Chris - sorry mate, got no sympathy for you this time. If you're going around arranging matches with Grand Slam champions without knowing which end of the racket to hold, you only have yourself to blame! Next week, boxercise with Joe Calzaghe? :-)

May be back in t'office next week, so it'll probably be back to sneaky blog reads while no-one is looking...

Should be fun broadcasting on the back of a bike - if the traffic is bad, maybe you could liven things up by getting requests from people in the back of minicabs :-)

Adrian Chiles - top bloke. We saw him in a local pub a few months ago - won't say where as I wouldn't want a load of groupies (would they be classed as `chillis'?) bothering him over a quiet pint - and he was kind enough to have a photo taken with my girlfriend, who'd recently lost her job (she has a new job now, so if you could tell him that some girl he met in some pub at some point in time has a new job, I'm sure he'll understand!)

Shame you can't get Sting on the One Show again tonight - Adrian could ask him about his record again, then while he answers, everyone else could fold their arms....

Early ears on this morning... 10:09am on 05 Nov 2009 Problems for me too this morning - working now though so all is well (apart from the result last night of course, but that's for another blog!).
Getting to quite like this working at home malarky, I can peruse the blog comments at my lesiure without having to worry about someone looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing. Obviously the downside is that you don't really have much to comment on...although I can confirm that the house behind us ALREADY have their Christmas decorations up (sticking to the tradition of putting them up the last week in October....).

Anyway, ARF - how about Caption Beaky by Keith Michell? No particular reason....

I'm not too sure on the Twitter thing - I did fancy joining, but if Stephen Fry is considered boring, what chance do us mere mortals have?

G'morning Good People of The Planet 10:34am on 02 Nov 2009 I often do more work in my dreams than I do during the day...surprised I still have a job, really... :-)

Bit of a `calm before the storm' day today - usually I only get time to read the blog (unless I'm trying to exercise birthday privileges on ARF - incidentally, will that be carried over to the Breakfast Show, or will be be a present for Mr Mayo?), but as I'm working at home today, I have a few moments to add what I fear will be a slightly duller tinge to the daily blog.

Anyway, the big news from this neck of the woods is - not only has Spud U Like at Merry Hill had a refit, they've also added the Christmas Special option (turkey, sage and cranberry) to their excting range of fillings.

Told you it would be dull....
Yesterday morning... 10:07am on 26 Oct 2009 I am happy to confirm that there is still a Spud-U-Like at the Merry Hill Centre in Dudley.

Other comestibile provision choices are also available :-)

I grew up listening to Terry Wogan (`forced to' as he put it this morning, by my mother and also during my - happily irregular - visits to the local doctor's surgery, where his velvet tones were piped through to the waiting room). He'll always retain a place in my happiest memories - mornings (like the Eurovision Song Contest) will never be the same again.

Still, change is what makes life exciting and I'm looking forward to the new incumbent (I've heard he knows a little about hosting this kind of show....). Only trouble is, who am I going to listen to on the way home?

Congratulations Chris and thanks for everything Sir Tel. Good luck to both of you in your new adventures :-)
