House prices: Too good to be true? 2:16pm on 03 Oct 2009 House prices have been a joke for many years. Mortgages to pay them have been the biggest 'con' in financial history. I have owned two houses in the past...never again, renting is much easier to cope with!, and before anybody mentions 'dead' money from rent payments, there are many people I know who will have to sell their house to stand any chance of clearing the loan!.

Taxpayers to insure £500bn of bank assets 07:28am on 24 Feb 2009 The main thing I have noticed being a regular reader is the increasing anger coming across.

This government is treating the electorate with utter contempt, ignoring the advise of sound economists, and the bankers are laughing all the way from the bank.

The police (under funded, but in some cases,over empowered) are right to be concerned about rioting and protesting in the near future.

I personally know of many, normally placid personalities, whose blood is boiling with the way the country is being ripped off.
Brown's cautious bank reforms 06:16am on 23 Feb 2009 It really is time for journalists to start giving this government a hard time.....We have a wealth of 'investigative' hacks who, instead of worrying about some celeb sticking coke up their nose, should be out there exposing this government/cabinet/un-elected primeminister/peers for the crooks they really are. This country is in a financial mess, not because of people accepting what was offered to them on a plate, but because of the greed of people trusted to run this country. People are starting to get angry, protests unseen in this country for many years will build up in the months ahead, and, hopefully, Brown and his gang of thieves will be physically overthrown.
Should Lloyds pay a bonus? 07:55am on 07 Feb 2009 Being self employed, I have to work to a very high standard to get paid for my services, which include the safety of people in one area that I work, and attention to detail and very flexible work time are a must in my other area of work...I do not get, or expect bonus payments, I get paid for doing exactly what it says on the box.
It is time these, frankly, over rated , incompenent and patronising clerks realised that they have to work and NOT cheat for a living.
A bank insurer, not a toxic bank 1:22pm on 17 Jan 2009 Straight forward question....when will the Government and the Financial institutes tell this country the truth?........If this country is heading for financial 'meltdown', we should be given the facts and not patronised by people who think we won't 'understand!
