Ivan's death 10:16am on 01 Mar 2009 The parayers of our family are with the Camerons - privileged or pauper, the grief of the loss of the child hits our hearts. Ivan came into your lives for a reason, that now being fulfilled he has embarked on his last journey.

Bad losers and bad finishers 4:31pm on 01 Nov 2008 Justin, I would love Obama to win - the democrats have better social policies and the republicans are clearly not to be trusted. Yes McCain has experience but he is still fundamentally a Bush-ite, he who came into power and wiped off all the good done by Bill Clinton. So no, its time for a change. HOWEVER, call me a cynic but the polished and extravagant campaign run by Obama makes me suspicious - is he truely what he appears to be or is this just a wonderful and faultless performance? Politicians do not encourage trust and it would be great to see a black American at the helm - just hope the world does not live to regret his posting.....
Colin Powell drops a grenade 08:50am on 20 Oct 2008 I have always admired Colin Powell and was saddened when he left the political arena as I was hoping he would one day become President. His comments are very relevant and put the McCain camp to shame - their desperation and lack of judgement was laughable. Do they think all Americans are small minded??

Looking forward to seeing what Obama can do.

I am worried as I am self employed in the health sector; my client numbers have steadily been dropping as I am not a 'need to have' but a 'want to have' and when people are struggling to put food on the table, it appears insensitive to recommend they need to look after themselves with my treatments at this stressful time. SO: I am thinking of getting a part time job...but so are millions of others who, one has to admit, probably have better office skills than myself....and all the time worried about my meagre savings in banks whose futures are now looking extremely dubious...so the govt takes my money to help out others who then give it back ot me...this is either madness or the perfect way to use our money: haven't figured out which!
