BBC iPlayer & N95: Update 00:59am on 11 Oct 2008 I agree with the previous poster, why not display a warning when users install the widget on devices that are not officially supported rather than blocking them completely?

I've seen instructions in forums describing how people have successfully modified the iPlayer widget to work on several other S60 devices (including FP1 ones and non-Nokia ones). Even if it's not what you guys consider the optimal experience it's obviously good enough for the people who have done these hacks. Why not save them the hassle of hacking the widget?

A potential benefit for you might be that you can get feedback of how well the widget works (or not) on non-N96 devices which can help you as you try to officially support more devices.
