Gordon Brown's monuments 8:16pm on 24 Sep 2009 I think the picture says it all, smug self satisfied fat cats in politics. Go Gordon, and take her with you. Or is this just another Labour ‘very nice earner thank you very much’ which seems to be the only wealth creation they have achieved.
Does Europe need hedge funds? 10:49am on 09 Jul 2009 So we would also chuck out HMG who encouraged massive betting on house prices.

BTW why should houses not be cheaper? It costs peanuts to build the chicken coops we are sold, but the land on which they are sold is exorbitantly expensive. Where has all THAT money gone....

It is just so difficult to say that you dont understand, especially when you are Chancellor or Governor of the BoE, of course Merv has had more experience. It must be very difficult to one day be MP, then The Chancellor. Maybe they should go on a course!

Mind you I still think that half the mess is the result of MPs making an untaxed killing on rising house prices and wanting to keep the gravy train running. It is often the simplest explanations that involve human veniality that are at the root of many of our problems.

MPs' tax muddle 06:26am on 14 May 2009 If this were not so sad, it would be funny. Brown should apologize to his party, the nation and the world for the government and Britains actions in the last 10 years. Then resign to spend more time with his family. I am not quite sure whether Labour are proof that socialism does not work, but they certainly lived up to the stereotypical socialist image. They have blighted all our lives, the lives of those to come and too many lives in other countries as well.

Why PlayStation 2 still matters 7:27pm on 31 Mar 2009 Um 99 Euros is 92 pounds. Blame Gordon Brown. Did younot realise that the pound is now close to the Euro, and Labour have sunk the UK economy? Stop playing WoW and have a look at what is happening out there.
How Dunfermline fell 12:27pm on 30 Mar 2009 This is another awesome cock up, I know those in Dunfermline will complain, but if it were your money, would you take the chance and let them continue? I know if it were my hard earned readies I would be glad Nationwide has stepped in. The complaints are driven by the fact that they know that money in the Dunfermline BS is safe. But it is only safe because of the gaurantees of others. Would you lend Dumfurmline 100 million to continue?
They are small enough to fail. Le encouragement de I'autres.
And no wonder the Chairman is a little miffed, no more luncheon vouchers!
