David Cameron on the Phone-In 09:10am on 19 May 2009 No the Speaker should not go as he did not make the rules for expenses.
However if the "Speaker" is removed from office then we should look deeper into the MPs expenses prior to 2000 and see if the abuse of the system was due to Martin becoming "Speaker". If there was no abuse of the system prior to 2000 then fair enough he should take some blame, however, if MP's are shown to be abusing the expenses system prior to 2000 then the current "Speaker" is not to blame at all. Let the truth be known! Until this is disclosed the unethical MP's and House of Commons are a sham!
Paying it back - is that enough? 09:46am on 14 May 2009 Why don't they use video conferencing for parliament so MPs don't have to be in London for voting? It would save the tax payer loads of money and the poor MPs won't have to claim for expenses in London.
Paying it back - is that enough? 09:39am on 14 May 2009 The Green Book was clear what could or could not be claimed. The system was ok it's just that some MPs were abusing it to make a profit. Just because they got caught and give it back does not clear their name from the issue. Shame on you! I no longer trust any of the main parties. It seems many have their fingers in the till. The only way to resolve the issue of restoring democracy in the UK is for those who have been caught to be suspended from office while the SCO investigate. If found guilty they should be sacked and jailed.

The only way politicians can redeem their reputation is to resign and be investigated by the serious fraud office. The green book was pretty specific in the detail what was or was not to be claimed. This is pure theft from the public purse and those politicians should be treated as thieves. Just because you return the money after being caught does not let you off the hook for the crime. Parliament can only remove the MPs from office to regain the puplics trust! Public enquiry now!
FSA admits huge mistakes 4:36pm on 06 Mar 2009 Will the FSA correctly monitor the banks during quantative easing? I doubt it!

Yet again the banks will sit on the money to try to keep their books looking good so that share holders won't see further drops in the share price. But as we see so far, no amount of money will stop the stocks and shares plummeting. And I know why that is:

1. The banks are not lending to ordinary citizens who would normally buy products which in turn keeps businesses going. Even those with good credit scores!

2. Banks are preventing fair competition when someone wants to get an accurate APR quote for a loan. The banks say that "to give an accurate loan APR rate an individual must go through the loan application process". The process however, contacts the credit score companies and automatically drops the individuals credit scoring if he/she trys to ask another bank for their accurate APR offer hoping it might be a better rate and so on. No wonder the banks are not lending. Everyones credit score = 0.

3. The FSA is blind to what the banks/credit scoring companies are really doing.

4. Individuals have to pay anything upto £20 to get a full credit report from these credit score companies and often the data they hold is incomplete or inaccurate. These reports should be free in accordence with the freedom of information act!
The Goodwin pension questions 5:41pm on 27 Feb 2009 We have clouded our minds with the question of Fred's pension. Did he cause this recession? No. He is part of the symptom of the real problem. The current Banking system and financial monitoring caused this recession. The banks just follow the rules given to them to trade. In 1997 the UK banks were allowed changes which resulted in the mess we are in now. Who changed the system? Gordon Brown.

So what now? We need to change the banking system again. The system should be Ethically based, fit for purpose. Yes, we need to reinvent the wheel or fire. It is not hard just takes a bit of will and conscience. Who is upto the task? Who will step forward and deliver us from the chains of oppression? Is anyone out there who has a backbone and can stand tall amongst the scum of so called leaders of our world. Hmm....there was one.... Churchill..... he no doubt is turning in his grave as he sees the mess we made of the world which was saved by so many brave men and women.

HBOS: Strong men will weep 5:02pm on 27 Feb 2009 hehe you have to laugh about it all. We hear all about HBOS but why did Lloyds takeover such a bad bank in the first place?

Who do I blame? Whoever changed the system in 1997! We all know who that was.....

Maybe we should take back his defered wages [pension] and see how that makes things any better? I'm sure he wouldn't like it!

What is needed is a new system of banking tailored to function as it was suppossed to do [ie. A system that prefers you to be debt free via social housing provisioning bought by Banks]. However, we know the current global players do not want this system.

The New World order is destined to progress unless we all wake up and do something to stop this sickening and shocking takeover of our lives, money and liberty.

So what can the ordinary law abiding citizen do against these useless leaders in all areas of our society?

Rebel..... sell your remaining stocks, take your savings out of the Banks, pay your bills but takeout any residue money in your bank account. Make these banks suffer.....they deserve to fail. When they do the government will be forced to setup a new more ethical banking system. A system fit for purpose.

I have a cure for the problem of the Banks which you can try:

Collectively remove your deposits/savings from the bad banks and put them in other less corrupt banks. [if there is such a bank left???]

It is your right to exercise this action!

When someone is loosing blood (say from a cut on their arm) you wouldn't give a blood transfusion until you stopped the bleeding.

If a Bank is bleeding money due to toxic assets surely you should stop the bleeding before replacing the money else it will flow away with the rest of the money.

Pressure should be applied to stop the bleeding at all cost or I,m afraid the patient will die. [RIP RBS].

Tick, tick... boom? 5:04pm on 13 Oct 2008 Ethical Resolution and Ethical Financial System:

1. Suspend all Banking Sector trading on Stock Exchanges world wide.
2. Redirect bailout money to finance an Income Tax reduction of 5%
3. Increase state pension by 5% and then increase proportionally as Banks increase profits (see 7) based on pensionable/working age ratio
4. Central Banks must declare all profits to purchase either Gold, Diamonds or Silver stocks in exchange for bonds (from the Treasury)
5. Central banks must honour all other banks requests for money. If the Central bank does not have enough money it can trade with the treasury bonds for new money notes.
6. A bank can return to the stock exchange only when their books are balanced again (FSA to authorize)
7. All bank profits go to a pension fund for all the countries work force including bank Stock Exchange profits. This will resolve any countries pension conundrum. (Yes, even bankers will get a pension this way instead of bonuses)!
8. A new mortgage scheme from banks where they buy the house for you. However, after 20 years you have to save enough money to buy the house for the original price plus 20% interest (if you default at the 20yr point then each year the interest increases by 2% until you do repay the full amount. If you want to move after 1 year then you have to pay the bank 1% of the original price and 1% of the 20% etc, etc (This scheme is based on your current income with a projected income increase of 3% per year over the 20year period to obtain the affordable House price.) This will encourage/force everyone to save and to progress their potential while releasing people from debt.
9. All Landlords who rent a property must relinquish the property to the bank (Bank will buy the property) and those who are living in the property revert to the new mortgage scheme.
10. All credit cards must become Credit/Debit cards where the interest is fixed. 5% whether credit or debit balance. However, due to step 8 everyone has more money (No mortgage payment) so they should be able to stay out of using the card as a credit card. Each day a savings balance figure required to meet the amount to pay for the Mortgage (see 8) is highlighted in the account to assist you keep track of your commitment.
