The ramifications of the Singapore race fixing verdict 11:14am on 23 Sep 2009 spot on alvinalarf, The plan for FA was to go vv light from near the back so he could overtake heavier cars in front during a short first stint (cars 11 to 20 generally fill up quite heavy) he did well but the strategy still put him last as he stopped so early and had to have heavy car for next stint. The strategy was totally floored unless your team mate is gonna crash and ruin everyone else's strategy for you.

It stinks, FA is prob the most tactically minded racer on the grid, so how he thought this plan would work without help from NPJ is a total mystery......

Had the team involved not been an engine supplier then the punishment would have been totally different for sure.

Regarding Pat Symonds role in the whole saga. His reputation was clean up until this but it makes me wonder. If he was willng to take a risk like this what had they got upto before??

Crowd trouble club-by-club 4:49pm on 26 Aug 2009 mysterioussgtwilko makes a good point that I would back up re away fans. When ive watched my local side (ipswich) against Man U. There is a huge number of southern reds in the home ends next to the official away fans.

If this is replicated at all grounds, it would help to explain why so many Utd fans have had their collar felt for a few reasons,

1) More of them

2) There in with home fans

3) They generally win annoying the home fans

4) Some are very cheeky!

It's completely unfair. And before people criticize this post, I'm not just whining on because it happened against my team. It's a feature of incompetent Martin Atkinson's game. I can assure you that Villa went str8 up the other end and scored the winner. Lescott was out of breathe as Ashley Young turned him inside out. Out of breathe cos he'd just finished celebrating 2-2. ho ho

I liked the post where someone tried to explain that within a whole season it is not impossible for the sky 4 to play on the same week end. Not impossible, not even improbable.

Ultimately you will play everyone home and away and will make that long trip at some point in the season, yes sky dictate kickoffs for TV games but they pull the strings and do more good than harm overall.

With so many factors to consider some will always feel hard done by but ffs, get over/on with it!
My Turkish Grand Prix preview 4:57pm on 04 Jun 2009 Although I want Jenson to win the title the season needs a strong challenge from another team. Hopefully Red Bull will dominate this race with some overdue reliability problems for Brawn perhaps!?!

Its great to be a fickle TV fan, I was cheering on Lewis last year and its good to see him doing his real F1 apprentaship like most others have. All I want to see is some close racing and a tight finish in the championship.

I have to agree that the commentary is annoying/comical but James Allen was far far worse imo....

The banks were not controlled by the regulation that this prime minister brought in. Failed regulatory system that was to eliminate boom and bust. Gordon Brown is the constant in the equation. Economic genius, heralded for prudence and stability.

Its a sick joke really, he is still there, not only there but now in the top job without the blessing of the electorate.

We need an election rather than another budget, I am no tory btw. People need to feel part of the democratic process and I feel this is the way. Open sensible debate about the future of this country. Others have alluded to fact that this budget will be as much about retaining power as addressing the problems. Cynical, very cynical but this the result of having the wool pulled over our eyes for so long.
