Should the Bank of England buy shares? 5:00pm on 12 Mar 2009 This is so wrong on so many different levels, that I find myself unable to untangle the obvious failure in logic that you have.

Next you will be telling me that everyone who loses on the races should be made whole?

We the general public will just start to ask difficult questions like:

If money can be QE'd into existence, then why did Londoner's need to pay extra council tax for the 2012 Olympics?

Surely, as it is a rare event, the costs could have come from QE?

In fact if we need a new school/hospital/road system/railway/etc/etc then why not just use QE?

By debasing the currency, everyone who lives and uses these services pays their share?

All change at RBS 6:43pm on 11 Oct 2008 If as taxpayers we really do have a say in the way banks are run, then I propose they gradually move to a Full Reserve system rather than the fallable Fractional Reserve system that is currently in operation...

Again, you skirt around the actual problem of Fractional Reserve Banking.

When will you give us your personal views on it?

BTW - a shortage of capital is what the people are also experiencing when the banks ATM's stop working.

Wake up!

You need to realise that our politicians are senior banking executives. Our reporters are the bank's Public Relations team. Our Tax inspectors are the Banks Rent Collectors. Our Police are the Banks Enforcers.

Banks == Government == Media

They do not care that you voted for them or not. They are in power and will do as they please.

The banks have a loaded, financial gun to the head of every man, woman and child of this once great country. Even the innocents yet to be born will be carrying this heavy burden.

Why do all the major religions of the world say usrury is a sin? Why does Islam prohibit interest? Why do we say "Never a lender or borrower be?" Who are we going to wars with? Why?

When any political decision needs to take place, ask yourselves does this help the banks or the people?

The credit crunch is not the problem, it is the solution. Let's purge these parasites from us for once and for always.

We are many. We are stronger.

I would think that a great many of your readers would love to know your description of it.

May even deflect some of that unfair critisism that seems to be directed towards you of late.
