Perhaps team badges could be put on the crotches of the shorts instead of on the breast of the shirt.

Im sure that would put players off kissing the badge (unless your Sol Campbell...im joking), or Ronaldo who seems to be able to blow his own trumpet!

Yes good idea! Lets give them more of the loyal supporters money so that they stay there a few more years to earn the bonus...and then leave anyway!

For me Rooney, (Ashley) Cole, Barton, etc are the personification of all that is wrong with the modern day footballer! A bunch of over payed, over hyped bunch of thugs who know that while they are on the pitch, they are untouchable (Unless your playing at Sunderland, where the crowd can do what they want, lol).

There is no doubt in my mind that Rooneys badge kissing/eating, whatever it was, was an attempt to rile the fans of a club that gave him the very opportunity to be where he is today! Without Everton playing him (most merorably in the game against Arsenal), then Man United would not have come slithering in and poached a bright young star from a team who nurtured him from a young age.

But now he has joined the ranks of the other pre-madonna's and it shows in his general attitude on the pitch!

In the modern game there are too many of these 'Mercenaries' floating about from one club to another, pledging allegance to each one as if they were fulfilling a boyhood dream...please!

May I suggest one way which shows true allegance to a club...take a pay cut from their vastly over-inflated wages and then we'll see who truely wants to be there for the pride of playing for the team!
Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross, Andrew Sachs and the BBC. 2:48pm on 30 Oct 2008 And to all you sheep who have jumped on the hatred bandwagon, here are a few things to bear in mind...

1) Andrew Sachs was scheduled to be interviewed on the show and didn't turn up. If you agree to an interview with Russ, you've got to expect some comeback if you're a no show.

2) It was a joke no more offensive than on his usual shows.

3) Russ and Ross joked about Russ's copulation with said Fawlty Towers legend's daughter. She's not a nun, she's a burlesque type and part of a group called the satanic sluts. If that's what your granddaughter gets up to through choice, you can't surely be surprised. Besides, she's only one of thousands of notches in the messy haired funster's bedposts (now just a pile of wood shavings...). Lots of his jokes are about people he's slept with - there's an endless stream of material there. It's just sex, he's not funding Sudanese rebels.

4) There were only 2 complaints before it became a news item. Now there are close to 5,000 (at time of group creation - I can't even attempt to keep up with it). Bandwagon, much?

5) If you don't like it, don't listen. Don't like inflammatory sex based humour? Russell Brand's show is probably not for you.

6) Andrew Sachs is a comedian. He's been involved in some pretty close to the line sketches himself. Whilst I'm sure it wasn't nice to receive those messages, he's not the one demanding retribution, it's just a load of naysayers sticking their oar in where it's not wanted.

7) There's an awful lot of 'my licence fee' gumf being spouted. To all of you who object to paying Russ and Ross's salaries: I object to paying for The Antiques Roadshow and Cash in the Attic, but I shall defend with my life your right to watch/listen to them.

8) Comedy is offensive. It's also subjective. That is what defines it. If you're the embodiment of political correctness on steroids, I suggest you have no sense of humour and should stick to watching the news. And not posthumously commenting on news items that you would otherwise have had no exposure too. Stop writing things just so someone will listen. It's all a bit too Alan Bennett.

But oh no!

Instead she is using this as a springboard to fame, slagging Russell Brand off in the press for a few hundred grand! No better than Woss and Brand if you ask me!

I would bet my morgage that you'll get to see her again in the new year in "Im a celebrity..." something or other in the new year. So well done to all you people getting on your moral high horse and giving the world another Rebecca Loo's/Jade Goody.

My point is that what they did, although childish, irresponsible, blah blah blah, did not affect ANYONE on this blog. So to see over 500 posts (all basically saying the same thing) is quite sad really and says alot about todays society. If the 500 people who took the time out of their 'busy' lives spent that time donating just £1 to charity, then that £500 would make the real difference! Not complaining about a couple of egotistical presenters...please!
My point is simple, stop wasting your time posting on issues that do not affect you and do something productive. If you do not like Russell Brand or Jonathan 'Woss', then dont listen/watch their shows...simple. All you are doing by stirring up this farcical 'hype' (which is all it is), is simply to increase their popularity through more people having a listen to the podcast to see what all the fuss is about. Is that not obvious to anybody else? I bet you that his latest show gets a record audience, which is surely the opposite to what everyone seems to want?

I think there are more urgent issues going on in todays society which people should contribute towards rather than repeating what people have already said on this blog a hundred ties already.
They probably regret it now and will not do it again...naughty boys!
Why dont you people make more productive use of the spare time you obviously have!
