Why 'adolescent America' has to grow up 4:52pm on 28 Oct 2009 America is turning increasingly narcissistic. If you look up the definition of the disorder it is a condition that even therapy cannot help. Put the blame on someone else, without ever looking in the mirror, and asking the question, 'could some of the problems be my fault?' Seems very adolescent. Fighting every other ideology overseas just makes us feel justified. Don't get me wrong, there is some crazy thinking out there, but is it our job to "save" so many others, while our country is slipping into the mental toilet? Our devide in this country isn't the mason dixon line, n,s,e, or west anymore, it's neighbor to neighbor. I'ts become so bad, that just holding your tougue and choosing your battles is the ultimate daily stress. I'm all for growing up.

Healthcare row gets physical? 6:10pm on 04 Sep 2009 I am just thouroughly disgusted with the corruption at every layer you peel away. Crazy, but i have been dreaming of a scinario(sp) where nobody turned out to vote in the 2010 election. It seems to hardly matter who you vote for anyway, and wouldn't that just turn things on it's ear. Unrealistic, i know, but i feel so powerless. I am completely ashamed of my country, and its lack of empathy for the most basic needs. Life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness? Time to say goodbye 5:00pm on 19 Aug 2009 Goodbye Justin, i wont nessasarily miss you, but i will miss many of the regular bloggers. Saint Dominick, Tim Ohio, Ukwales, Chicagolaw, Ed, and so many more. Congratulations Justin, you made something of your life, and have a great career, but as much as you love America, Britian is your safety net, you are fortunate to have, and you should probably refrain a bit more of your critisizms of her. America can be a very violent place, and it is getting worse as our economy spirals, and as the political wedge between the two parties grows and it starts to effect who you will or won't have over for dinner anymore. Cities are broke, so they threaten to cut the police force to make ends meet. Standard backward American thinking. Home invasions ,and robberies are on the rise, and pair that with people buying more guns... Your derogatory comments about San Francisco, and even the town you will be living in in the U.k. makes me think that perhaps you dwell on the negative side of life which in turn closes your mind, and may finally seriously restrict your capabilities as a journalist. Fiction might be better for you, because then you can wear those rose colored glasses you obviouly own.
A quieter voice on the Obama speech 3:47pm on 06 Jun 2009 I don't think it's wise that the president addresses every single topic concerning the U.S. and it's relations in the Middle East. If you shove it all in at once they will choke. Baby steps. This box and it's contents are marked FRAGILE.

Sounds like you, like many other republicans, wish for something terrible to happen on our soil, just so the President looks bad. "The Grand Old Party" should change their name to maybe "The Brick Wall Party"

What does "pro-life" mean these days? 5:30pm on 21 May 2009 There is no good answer to this topic, and there never will be. I do believe that life begins as soon as the sperm enters that egg, and abortion is a horrible decision anyone should have to make, but i also believe that "freedom" of choice is very important. Only that person can say what they're capable of at that time; Once you make that decision, most, maybe not all, will suffer in a silent prison for the rest of thier lives.
Humans are a cancer to this plant, and nature will take the steps nessasary to rid itself of it eventually. We believe ourselves to be the superior above all other forms of life, and that's our biggest mistake.
