Uninsured 5:49pm on 23 Oct 2008 With health insurance, we pay about $800us a month for top of the line coverage. With two disabled children in the house, we had to go for the most expensive option. We still have medical expenses we pay out of pocket on top of that, and respite, certain therapies and treatments aren't covered, even on the best insurance.

And even with that, we're darn lucky. If we were to loose our insurance, just *one* of the life-saving medications in the family costs almost $2000US, for one months worth.

This is on top of the other vitals like food, shelter and utilities.

I would happily pay more in taxes if it meant never having to worry again if I could afford to keep my family healthy.
Why poll numbers vary 5:36pm on 23 Oct 2008 After enduring the Bush White House saying my religion "doesn't exist", and watching families of slain Pagan American soldiers having to fight to get their religious symbol on their gravestones in the National Cemetery... this Pagan American Voter is happily voting for Obama.
Where are they going? 3:45pm on 30 Sep 2008 Wow, what a large number of people who misread this. Let me see if I can interpret:

~Congress has gone missing when they should have been working.

~The only legitimate reason for not working, would be to observe the current Jewish holiday.

~Therefore, all of Congress must have suddenly converted to Judaism, for them to be taking the day off.

If anything, this is the opposite of being anti-Semitic... the real Jews in Congress have a reason to take time off, everyone else is faking it.
