Election Presenter Optional 6:20pm on 08 Jun 2009 I don't think people will properly engage with european elections while the party that candidates will support of elected in Europe are not shewn on the ballot paper. What is the point of putting e.g. conservative or labour when the effect is EPP or socialists? The fact that the conservatives decided they won't be part of the EPP this time round would have had much more significance if campaigning was by the european groupings' policies rather than domestic party politics.
