Schools and the Class War debate 3:29pm on 03 Dec 2009 I had a some sympathy for Brian Cox's argument until I saw that at least one of his kids had been educated at St Paul's School. Blimey. Still, he seems a decent bloke and a good actor.

One thing I'd say is that the difference between the Eton educated Cameron's lot and MacMillan's Eton generation is that MacMillan served with ordinary folk in the trenches suring WWI. Perhaps it gave MacMillan's generation a greater sense of understanding and perhaps even personal liking for the lower classes/working classes. He worked alongside them. Certainly the events of WWI and the 1930s effected him in a strong way because he went on to write The Middle Way.
Some big changes to the 5 live schedule 12:08pm on 22 Oct 2009 It didn't take that long for Mayo to become established in the afternoon, Adrian. I seem to remember him handling 9/11 with aplomb better than most journalists would have done. Bit of re-writing of history going on already. The one thing I do know is that 4 hours of Derbyshire and then Logan will not be the most exciting radio on the air.
Some big changes to the 5 live schedule 4:43pm on 20 Oct 2009 Oh dear. 2 hours of Derbyshire followed by Gabby Logan. Guess I'll have to find another radio station to listen to around that time. I can feel my eyelids getting heavy at the thought of it. Mayo, don't go.

Don't mind Richard Bacon although he can be a pain in the bum. Out of all of them he could have filled the Mayo slot the best as he does have good knowledge of all subjects. Self-obsessed beyong belief though. Phil Williams is alright but I wish he would stop telling anecdotes during interviews all the time. And he's got a very strange, nervous laugh. Reminds me of Phil Cool doing JR from Dallas.

When he was playing for Norwich City on a away trip to Sheffield Wednesday, O'Neill and the Norwich Physio, Tim Sheppard, went on a tour of where the Yorkshire Ripper has murdered some of his victims apprarently. He's an interesting fella.
Saying sorry 01:06am on 14 Mar 2009 I mean, come on. If Cameron wanted portray himself increasingly like Blair, its now starting to get ridiculous. Apologise for something you had no responsibility over. Blair apologised for a number of things that he wasn't responsible for. For example, slavery. Of course, when it came to Iraq or anything he might have actually done wrong he was less forthcoming. It wouldn't be so funny if the Tories hadn't been arguing for the complete opposite a few years ago, rather like McCain in the US.
Anyway, when is David Cameron going to apologise for Norwich being 3rd from bottom in the Championship? I waiting, Dave.
