Back in the hot seat 8:19pm on 19 Aug 2009 great blog as ever, really fun and informative. The Mclaren centre is totally amazing isn;t it, all those classic f1 cars alongside all the newbies too
Gloomy Schumi faces up to failed Ferrari return 09:12am on 13 Aug 2009 I was never a big fan of Schumacher but the manner in which his planned comeback came about (Massa's accident) really made it heartfelt. The excitement of seeing him alongside Kimi in the same car and all of the young new drivers on the grid really did fill everyone with excitement.

The way he is talking now i think he'll want to contest another race sonetime in the future simply to prove to himself and the world that he can, on a physical level and a competitive level. Fingers crossed eh.

One question: On the BBC homepage if you customize the Sport tab you can't add a 'formula 1' section, only 'motorsport' - Can you speak to a techie and fix this?

Leave no Silverstone unturned 6:57pm on 26 Jun 2009 Hi Jake, i was really very impresed with the coverage over the whole weekend. You were able to convey the facts about the threat of a breakaway combined with the positivity about it being the British GP so well done for that. Also, i don;t know your background so apologies if you are a trained journalist but if you aren't then big congratulations on the way you handled Max and the way you worded your questions and responses to him. In terms of feedback for coverage i have one gripe that i have mentioned before, the opening credit music montages tend to be really good with upbeat music and in keeping with the image of the sport however too often at the end of the race it tends to be an acoustic slightly depressing number. I realise the team may be looking for a cinematic 'fade out' but the opening credits style fast, upbeat and positive music really does work better.

On the interactive is there any way that we could have the main tv feed with the in-car view as the smaller screen in view. Like the in car but with the in car the smaller of the screens?
Or a possibility of being able to choose the different in car views online similar to kangaroo tv at the circuit?
Dont mean to sound negative as the production is all very good and your doing well,

Hungry for Silverstone after JB's Turkish delight 7:37pm on 07 Jun 2009 Great blog Jake and an excellent show today. I do have a question though - had you planned to have so much time to use at the end of the race? Not complaining - i thought it was excellent, really insightful so well done to all. Bit cheeky with Mario Thiessen at the end about developing last years car - it was good but he didn't look too pleased!!!
Motorhomes, sliding doors and wild Spanish applause 7:40pm on 10 May 2009 Again, a really insightful blog and great coverage that is improving race by race.

The music montage at the start of the show was great - but please have a word with the guy that chooses the music for the final musical montage that closes the show - yes Tracey Chapman is driving about cars but it simply isn;t the right atmosphere or feeling to finish a great F1 show with. Too many times its music that just makes you feel slightly depressed or let down when you should be left with a buzz having just watched great coverage and great racing.
The chaos and thrills of a grand prix Sunday 12:49pm on 20 Apr 2009 Lovin the blog, and the other articles by the presenting team so keep that up guys. Coverage is great and improving - Legard is improving with each race and is buiulding his rapport with Martin Brundle which is excellent news.

My main gripe is still at the end of the coverage the "music montage" of the race - yes you used non-BBC music this time round but it always seems to be very downbeat. Come on guys, Formula 1 is excitement and glamour, the music should be upbeat and loud to reflect the sport!!! (Surprisingly ITV did do these really well)

Apart from that - great coverage and articles - well done to yourself and the team
Classic Chinese Grands Prix 5:55pm on 10 Apr 2009 2004 - 3 manufacturers in the top 3. And 3 drivers that, if Ferrari get their act together, could be in with a shot at the title this year.
