Does a winter 2010 appointment promise a one-off special before the six 'further courses of treatment' of the second series?

More 'Psychoville' is brilliant news!!!!!
Psychoville: the end is nigh! 4:53pm on 30 Jul 2009 I'm crossing everything for a second series! I thought you would have already been given the green light for some more 'Psychoville'. Its been a terrific success - its had a brilliant response from fans & (nearly all) critics. Its done more than enough to justify one. Episode 4 is already a classic & on its own should surely get the commissioning editors busy with new contracts. Thats without mentioning how GREAT the other episodes have been (episode 6 is one of my favourites)
You couldn't have made 'Psychoville' any better - its been an amazing series & a fantastic online experience. There are images & scenes from the series that will stay with me for a very long time, if not forever.
I'm buying the DVD first thing on Monday. Wish there had been an in-store signing...but so many DVD retailers have closed down in the last year, the stores are few & far between now. Am really looking forward to the legendary commentaries & all the extras!
Congratulations on a mesmerising & unique series. Thursdays will be really dull after tonight. Its been a triumphant for you and Steve & everyone involved in the production. All the best for the awards I'm sure it will receive...and best wishes for a second series!

Psychoville: Reece Shearsmith introduces a special episode 3:09pm on 09 Jul 2009 There are been some critical raves about this episode in particular. The preview clip on the Psychoville website hints at just how special this episode is - mesmerising as you say.
The filming for it sounds like a very complex operation with both the actors and crew performing a very precise choreography.
Just want to say that 'Psychoville' is inspired, sublime and 'moreish'. Have they decided yet if there is to be some more? I know its only midway point in the series...its just I don't want it to be over.
I'm going to 'Breaking Through the Silence' event tonight, at which you are doing a reading. I'll probably sneak out during the interval (I hope I will get the chance to see you doing a reading before then) I feel mean about doing it, but I just have to be home in time so I can watch 'Psychoville' as it goes out.
Its probably stupid when I can record it or watch it on i-player...its just that I can't wait to see it. Its a compliment to the exceptional quality of 'Psychoville'. I wouldn't be so anxious about making sure I don't miss an episode of any other tv series...

Congratulations on the success of 'Psychoville'. I'd say the reviews were overwhelmingly excellent...only a handful saying there wasn't a story (well there was one review in particular saying that after actually outlining the blackmail plot in the same review!) & a couple of reviews in post-Rossgate mode who said it was 'sick', 'disturbing' blah blah blah. I think my favourite was from a particularly 'angry from Tunbridge Wells' type reviewer who complained about its "blood-spattered, faeces-encrusted" images (!)
I'd say take the very few negative reviews as idiots who don't know what they're talking about (I suppose I'm rather bullish about it because 'Psychoville is so brilliant;)
The online Psychoville Experience is fantastic too - so much care and attention to detail has gone into that aspect of 'Psychoville' & its really appreciated.
I've seen the first two episodes of 'Psychoville' (I went to the BFI preview back in May) as am really looking forward to this Thursday & seeing Episode Three on the Red Button option (after watching Episode Two again of course)

Psychoville: a message from Reece Shearsmith 09:48am on 19 Jun 2009 Last night the continuity announcer used the 'd' word - 'dark' - and I think they may have said 'disturbing' as well;)

I loved watching the first two episodes again last night (having seen them at the BFI preview) 'Psychoville' is brilliant, unique and extremely funny...an outstanding piece of work that you and Steve can be really proud of.

The characters seemed fully formed from the moment they appeared on screen - no doubt partly because you have both been working on this for over two years. The look of the episodes are superb as well - there seems to be a different colour hue/look to each character's location...plus Joby Talbot' music is perfect.

I just love your drawings of the characters that are on the Psychoville site's gallery - they're amazing! If any of them went up on Ebay I'd try and outbid the Crabtree sisters for one.

Congratulations for producing the best television show in ages. Its surely going to be one of the few outstanding programmes of the year. You and Steve deserve all the plaudits and success that you will surely receive for 'Psychoville'.
