Rooney and Gerrard make Fabio smile 12:30pm on 29 Mar 2009 aside from the blog i would like to point out someone else's role in the england set up and that is stuart pearce. it bodes well for the future that he is learning under capello's tutelage. they seem to fit together nicely on the bench for the full team with regards tactics and communication and pearce is gaining great experience and confidence with his decision making when managing the under 21's. There is no hiding pearce's admiration when you see the two of them in the stands watching players. but you also see a mutual respect and appreciation from capello.

given that capello has now given england a tactical backbone and most of the players are beginning to live up to their club form now for the national side this process should be able to carry on after capello with pearce at the helm armed with his tactical tuition from capello and his familiarity with future england players after his asociation with them in the under 21 squad.
F1 gossip column 2:10pm on 28 Mar 2009 i have to sat that i am glad 2c f1 back on bbc. But as a reular viewer without being a car nut my viewing of qualifying was spoiled by the constant references to cers? or curs? without any explanation of it's meaning.
could someone help with a laymans explanation of the term. Please dont make it too technical.

what's great about your blogs are the enthusiastic responses they evoke.some great comments and replies to this blog some even give you the feel of actually being at the grounds and at the actual match.
be careful you may be creating some future competion when you go into journalism full time with your eloquent followers.
Everyone's losing it! 2:18pm on 06 Mar 2009 couple of points.
1/ronaldo had a swing at taylor 1st when they were going down the touchline.and re ronaldo's bookings for diving this season they are just balancing last nseasons that he got away with.
2/i'm a spurs fan but it was scary watching the middlesborough game.for some periods it was asm if the ref told the middlesbrough team that could neither move or tackle.scary viewing and i was the oposing fan so it must have been frightening to be a middlesbrough fan.
3/does no one feel that vidic's tackle? on wednesday on the edge of his box dfeserved a red card as the ball had very little to do with his challenge?was

we've just got the england squad winning - perfection,the world cup and apostrophes will all have to come later.

against kazakhstan ashley cole had too much of an attacking role and had little assistance when in a defensive role.it was little wonder he made an error.
against belarus brown was missing at right back for the goal and walcott a little lacking in support.
i worry that against better opposition the left flank at least is vulnerable if not both.even barry was guilty of losing possession to often this evening.i8 think the side would benefit from the return of either hargreaves or carrick at barry's expense at the moment.and then we have the joe cole situation?
of cole,gerrard and lampard, joe cole is the one who most consistently captures his club form when playing for england.
both lampard and gerrard suffer from the restriction that their england roles dictate.they both flourish at club level because they have more freedom across the pitch and have the skill and ability to be in the right place at the right time to change games score goals and win games.
so if we need heskey as a foil for rooney and joe cole starts on the left,wright phillips or walcott on the right.

so who goes gerrard or lampard????????????????????????
