Gaming is good for you 1:11pm on 30 Dec 2008 I've played WOW for a good few months before jumping ship onto WAR which generally gets more flack for violence as it looks more realistic... *I don't get that in the slighest....*

I don't play it because secretly I like sneaking around and blowing people up with fire balls... I play it because it's fun and became I am also a hobiest of Workshop... I also play Dawn of War and a million other war style games...

I'm also a 21 year old girl... who is in a happy relationship with her own flat, a nice job and no criminal record for mass murder. So Stereo types and blown way out of the water there.

I'd say games are good because the option for most kids lately seems to be games or TV as excersise and sport are out of the question... At least with some games you have to actually use your brain...
Copyright - the empire strikes back 1:48pm on 23 Dec 2008 I just don't buy music any more. I borrow CD's from friends and just mas a collection on my MP3 player. CD's are too expensive and pointless as within seconds of getting home I burn them to the PC and the CD is never used again as everything in my house is linked through the PC.

The last time I wanted to get a single songI tried the I-pod shop thing. By the time I'd signed up, hunted down the song and decided to buy it... I didn't realise it wouldn't play on my samsung unless I selected a certain more expensive download that would convert it to MP3 format... Considering it was my first time ever buying music online it was riduculous. I don't claim be me amazingly tech savvy, But I shop entirely online and do nearly everything via my PC and at the end of that I was frustrated and tired.

Not that I use things like Limewire which people have suggested to me, its apparently incredibly easy. I just gave up in the end, I just listened to it on Last fm.

And Steaming TV shows were always baffling to me.. as they can't be that illegal as you can find them on google Vids and Youtube ?? People download a lot of TV shows as the quality can be great, you watch it when you want and you don't have to wait for English TV's to catch up with american TV Schedules...
Mac malware - were we wrong? 12:47pm on 04 Dec 2008 In a way, I can't wait untill mac get a bigger grip on the market. As soon as they hit the 50% Mark people are going to start realising that virus's on macs will yeild more results than virus's on a PC. Unlike with Windows Virus's were the are so many virus scanners, malware scanners so on so on, where people can safe gaurd their PC easily, most Mac users are going to be clinging to the belif that no one could ever set a virus on them and won't have these, and they won't be anywhere near as developed. Then the Mac virus's will start rolling out, probably created by people who have been learning new ways to get around windows compatible safe gaurds for ages so all they have to do is adapt. And they you will have Mac Virus's.

At the moment, Virusus on Macs are no where near as profitable than a virus on a PC simply becuase there are less of them. So, yes, right now Macs are safe - but if every mac user that has ever told me my PC is crap and their mac is awesome get there way... convert all thoses lowly windows using people to Mac their little cushy world will start getting dirty.

I've also had a PC since I was 7 years old, thats 14 years, it's nt hard to keep a PC clean. Even if you do occasionally go on thoses "Dodgey Virus Laden Sites" or open "Evil Emails." Be spart, Run a Virus scanner, simple programs like Spybot S&D that run in the background and use up virtually no ram. My PC is on alot, its linked up with a network of 3 others, and 2 xbox's, all streaming with each other, all connected to the net 24/7 unless we all go out and turn them off (Rarely). And they all work fine, no virus's, no crashing, I can happily play MMORPG's with 2 other people connected in the house whilst some one down stairs is streaming music or a moive from my PC on the TV downstairs via the xbox.

Off track a little there... but still, I'm at work and bored :D

Look out Skype, Google's calling 1:28pm on 20 Nov 2008 I've had Google talk for ages - I swapped to google Talk Beta ... has to be over a year now, because I used to spend a lotof time talking to firneds and skype didn't seem to like it when a call went over 3 hours.. it would randomly make people talk like Daleks and then hang up.

Google was so simple and easy it just worked and didn't gof nearly an resourced. I could also use the mini chat option in the Gmail inbox at college to talk to friends when MSN and Yahoo were blocked.

I don't use many voice chatting systems any more (I now work on phones so I don't want to go home and be on one!!!) but I may have a look at Google talk now its out of Beta.

Ahhhh Ok, that makes more sense xD.

Windows 7 does look kinda of pretty though, I do have to admit. But I like XP. When it break i can beat it into working for me again xD
Two days in PC World 1:19pm on 29 Oct 2008 I don't have a very good relationsip with Macs... I just like PC's and I always have done. A lot of my friend who do coding use me as a Beta as I tend to break everything in some weird and obscure way in 5 minutes which takes most people 2 weeks...

I was told I could never crash a Mac by the old tech tutor... It took me 10 minutes without trying and unlike XP I couldn't uncrash it very easily at all.

I've not jumped to vista because I break things, XP is more solid that Vista and I agree that windows 7 is basically Windows going, We can't fix it - here is something better!" And I can't fault that... Imagine if they had tried to fix ME instead of just jumping to XP!? Erugh.

Oh and am I going crazy but wouldn't this new windows be the 8th version? So why is it called Windows 7 (Or are we pretending NT never esisted again?)
