News of the World bugged Sun editor 6:02pm on 10 Jul 2009 Well done RP, good blog. Of course it is about business, BBC haters, the empire of one of the most poweful busineesmen in the world. As for your supposed bias, some of the comments in this section are so off the wall they might end up on the 'spEak You're bRaines' website, a collection of the most ridiculous comments made on the BBC website. Worth a visit.
The strength of the German economy 4:31pm on 05 Sep 2008 So 'Jaws 1912'writes (or tries to!) the usual uninformed tripe about the Euro. Currencies have a function, they are not objects to love or hate and at the moment the Euro is proving a very useful currency in stabalizing the zone from the worst of the recession and imposing some financial stability amongst members. Compare this to the unfettered financial sector in the UK and the consequences, a timid Bank of England which won't react and the result is we could be waiting a long time to come out of this recession. Still , don't let a bit of economic common sense stand in the way of your prejudice!
Are you on the party bus? 08:47am on 04 Sep 2008 One of the few benefits of turning 60 so don't begrudge us this perk! In South Yorkshire we can also use our bus passes for free rail fares to Leeds in West Yorkshire. Now that is a bargain.
