Steve Jobs: Teenage hero? 5:00pm on 14 Oct 2009 This is getting silly now. I used to read this tech blog all the time but now I can't bear to bring myself to read more nonsense like this.

This is supposed to be a technology blog. Not an apple advertisement.

But then I remember... Windows 7 is released next week so that's probably why. The tech page will be full of stuff about it so there *has* to be something about apple.

I really do feel sorry for the license payers who are paying for this "impartial" service

There was a post about the 95 tournament. Yes it was succesful but it didn't have the pulling power the world cup[ does now. If the crime is as bad in South Africa as it is reported, then just imagine how bad it will be when there are more people there? Your logic is stupid.

Anyway, It should not go to south africa whilst that clown is in charge. End of story.

I am still shocked it has taken 3 attempts to add something my phones have been doing for years (MMS).

Wait until Christmas and get the palm pre and a decent MP3 player / ipod touch. It will cost the same as the new iphone and you get a better phone and a decent mp3 player which is an iphone but without the phone bit (although there is an app that is being developed to allow you to use it as a VOIP phone).

Stick your contract SIM into the 3GS for 6 months, at the end of the contract O2 will offer a rolling 30 day contract which will cost you 20 a month, and if you don't get a new phone with it, they'll give you 150 credit on your bills, giving you 7-8 months worth of line rental paid."

All very well that, but who can afford half a ton on a mobile phone? I know I couldn't afford it let alone justify it. Especially seeing as though there will be a new one out in 12 months time.

However, O2 are not the problem here. The people you need to look at are Apple. Obviously, the production costs are high so apple need to claw money back somehow.

I think people are finally waking up to something I have seen for years though. Apple products are over hyped and are far too expensive for the normal customer/consumer. The fact alone it costs half a ton on PAYG is ridiculous as it prices out a market that o2 and apple should really be trying to tap into. Instead of going for the elite, go for the people that can't afford the elite. Offer a trimmed down version instead of just limiting some of the features that are on the old one (by that I mean they are still there but can't be used).

Apple are your crooks here. Not o2.
A new format war? 1:41pm on 28 Apr 2009 It doesnt matter anyway... Flash Media is the way forward. 32gb flash drives are already in the market for reasonable prices. When the technology is needed for things like games consoles, it will have advanced again.

That's the next big storage. Discs are slowly coming to an end
A new format war? 7:49pm on 27 Apr 2009 To the posters before me... By any chance do you have a playstation 3 or praised blu-ray. As it is said, these are interim technologies. Nothing more nothing less.

Can Xbox 360 fulfil its multimedia ambitions? 6:14pm on 26 Feb 2009 It's all very well asking for the iplayer but with updates rolling out for the iplayer tenfold, wouldn't it make sense to wait for a "full" version before implementing it?

That would have been like adding xbox live to the original xbox but you can only play in your own country as it isn't ready.

Also, with BT being partners with microsoft for IPTV (WHEN MICROSOFT WHEN!?!) then it would make it a greater VOD capable machine than the fancy set top boxes

It's happened before and it's happened again. It will happaen yet again in a few weeks

Will the real, impartial, BBC please stand up because through the stream off apple loving, I can't see it.

Get off your high horse and realise apple, like google, are trying to take over the world just like Microsoft. IT'S CALLED BUSINESS!
Macworld - what's new? 4:29pm on 08 Jan 2009 While Apple are innovation leaders, I am still waiting the blog about the innovations microsoft announced at CES.

When I woke up this morning, I was expecting one but low and behold, it wasn't there and is still not here at the time of writing this.

We know you like apple and google BBC but come on!
