Not impossible - but difficult 07:26am on 17 Jun 2009 Theres little doubt that ECK has thought out this strategy before even winning the May 2007 Election...The mans a genius and will win this fight for freedom....It is now not "if we win Independence" its simply "When"...You cant turn back a flood...you just have to go with the flow...the flow is heading quickly towards a fully Independent Scottish Nation...Owned by Scots for Scots...Its the SNP for me
Not impossible - but difficult 07:18am on 17 Jun 2009 Tavish and his mates can hardly refuse a Referendum on Independence if they actually endorse their parties Constitution...I grabbed this section of their Constitution from Wikpedia...Its quite clear they abandon their principles when it doesnt agree with their Unionist Dross...

"The Liberal Democrats' constitution speaks of:

..."a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals, we acknowledge and respect their right to freedom of conscience and their right to develop their talents to the full. We aim to disperse power, to foster diversity and to nurture creativity. We believe that the role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives."[11]

The party's presidential book of office, On Liberty, defines the harm principle:

"That the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others."[12]
Counting on votes 3:14pm on 01 Jun 2009 Not a word from Brian on the Times Article concerning the supposed big fight between Scottish New Labour and their Masters down South who have told Ian Gray and Murphy that they are to call the Election for Martins Seat...The London Controlled New Labour have told their Masters that they will get slaughtered if they go soon...However Broon doesnt want it fought before New Labours General Election Next Year...He said it will detract from the New Labour AGM and subsequent General Election....In other words...New Labour in Scotland think they dont stand a chance..They have put up the Flag (unionist one)and surrendered to the SNP...Great isnt it...
Bird's-eye view of jail break 7:18pm on 28 May 2009 Well im a dedicated independence supporter...but Ive got to say Kenny is perhaps being very green...Trusting those in the senior management of the Prison Service is just silly...Kenny didnt forget to lock the door...he wouldnt know how because its not his job...But he is guilty of not sorting out the management structures left by the Slavour/Fibdum failed Scottish Government...

Its time for the headkickers to go in and sort out the useless managers who couldnt organise the proverbial pee up....Get the system fixed and get rid of those that cant work to the rules laid out for them...It must be very hard for the average Scottish Prison Warder working in conditions that are hardly desirable...empowerment of ALL staff and the backup resources is the way to go....I cant see the SNP getting enough rights to borrow money to build even more prisons because London doesnt think we are adult enough..Yes they are building a new prison in Aberdeen..but lets face it they were left with a mess by the Unionist Scots...
Favouring reform 2:49pm on 26 May 2009 Camerons half hearted efforts to appear as some sort of great reformer are a sham....Lets face some facts...Any English Tory has as much contempt for Scotland as New Labour still have...Both of these parties see us Scots as nothing except Voting Fodder...

Lets not forget that the real improvements to Scotlands Political Future are through the re introduction of our unique Scottish Constitution that already guarantees the rights of the people above the political Servants we the people elect...

Simply go to the SNP Website and read the proposed Constitution that will be decided by a vote by every Scottish Citizen...

Why settle for second best from a foreign power...when we as a Nation can outdo it everytime....

Letter from Texas 6:34pm on 25 May 2009 FitLike...They certainly have been drooling after Gordon Brown...one only has to look at the coverage of Glasgow East and Glenrothes...They even resorted to sending up London spin merchants as reporters and producers...The BBC Trust couldnt take a chance that a possible local renegade Reorter might actually start to point out how much Bob Marshall retired with...or ask how an ex Gordon Browns headmaster suddenly became qualified to be an MP to London...when he actually thought he was going to Holyrood...
Letter from Texas 6:24pm on 25 May 2009 The BBC was never the voice of Scotland and Freedom...and it never will be...The BBC has always displayed its Pro London Bias since its first transmissions here in Scotland...But of course that will be coming to an end after we take our Nation back again...

Having recently watched BBC Scotlands bias reporting on the Irish Economy... as an example to all us badly behaved Scots of the error of our ways....No coverage of a successful Norway who at present are bailing out the EU with their Oil Fund...No coverage of the amount of oil funds that were taken directly into the London Treasury ...No coverage of James Callaghans lies about Scottish Oil...No coverage of Maggie Thatcher using Scottish Fishing grounds to buy her way into the EU...No coverage of Alex Salmonds productive visits to the USA and China....No coverage of Alex Salmonds inciteful idea to push the Scottish Economy towards being a World Leader in Wave Power and Wind Power....No coverage or support of Scotlands right to not want Nuclear Power Stations on our Beautiful Countries Landscape...No investigative reporting of the amount of poverty and neglect New Labour have left our Nation with...And no apologies to every Scottish Bairn who was born into third world conditions whilst New Labour MPs had their snouts in the trough...

The BBC ? I dont think so...I'll settle for the soon to be Scottish Version SBC with its control ending at the Border of the Country that has Occupied My Nation for 300years...

Thankyou very much for expressing the view of the average SNP supporter..I to have never actually encountered an SNP Supporter who wished any badness towards the average English Person...Yes there are many who actually despise the entire Westminster System....but that is not a personal attack on the voters who put the culprits into it...

As for your English backround...lets be very honest....there are on average 5000 English People relocating to Scotland on an annual basis who are looking for a new lifestyle that has the same family values that the unfortunate English seem to be losing...As far as I am concerned being a Scot is more a state of mind rather than simply an accent...

I welcome all Scots who happen to have been born in a different part of this world...providing they join the general Scottish Communities ambitions to continually improve the lot of all Scots through good education and the dream to be the best we can be as a Nation....

PS I certainly wish you well in your dream to be an MSP in the Scottish Parliament...It would be a great honour for anyone to achieve....I dare say there will be a lot of applications the longer it continues to develop as Scotlands only Government..

Unlikely bedfellows 11:14am on 01 May 2009 60 Votes seperated the SNP and New Labour in Stirling.....Someone got it right when they pointed out that many Scots are institutionalized fearties.....still it is changing...we are getting there and I for one am very confident that if we continue to work hard...We Will Win The War Despite a Biased Media in Our Nation...

How much more of this Downing Street dross can we take? Count on it: further cheating headline-chasers will be sneaked into next Wednesday's Budget to distract us from the economic mess. To prepare you for this Heightened Dross Alert, take a look at some examples from the past decade of the former Chancellor's now-you-see-it-now- you-don't approach to policy announcement: those Gordon Brown Disappearing Initiatives. First though, an apology: not one of the policies that follow is of the remotest significance. But they all seemed so at the time.

My dossier's too fat for the 600 words I have left, so I'll randomly select (say) six and allow about 100 words for each. Forgive the compression. Shut eyes; pluck six sheets from folder; open eyes... and here goes...

Citizens' juries. September '07, Bristol: New PM launches “flagship” plan. “... [the] tired, sloganising politics of the past should not resume ... wrong time for... posturing which focuses on what divides us... right time [for] new kind of politics... not about gimmicks [but] about... real solutions... ongoing process... reaching out...” Juries to be chosen independently - participants equipped with facts independently verified - rolling progamme of deliberations nationwide to keep ministers in touch with public opinion. Result? Big headlines. Most contracts go to GB's pet polling company, Opinion Leader Research specialising in “thought leadership” - first event £317 per minute (£ per thought?) - handpicked juries lectured on “need for change”. No ideas emerge - millions spent. New formats proposed - none chosen. Fizzled out.

Statement of national aims and purposes. GB writing in Daily Express, '04 : “...A new institute and forum for Britishness Studies... shaping the future of Britain.” September '07 announces “citizens' summit” plus “wider programme... led by Jack Straw and Michael Wills on the British statement of values...” “draft bill of rights and responsibilities”. Result? Big headlines, then nothing. Times survey on national motto won by phrase “No motto please, we're British”.

Midnight football. GB floats idea of giving kids £25 a month of vouchers redeemable at leisure centres, in return for keeping out of trouble... GB on TV: “This is not a handout; if you don't behave you don't get it.” Result? Big headlines. GB interviewed in Times, and on GMTV, which receives 3,000 text messages, overwhelmingly hostile. Pilots announced for ten local authorities. Whole idea abandoned.

Building schools for the future (BSF). GB in '04 Budget: “...by 2015 every secondary school can be refurbished or rebuilt, with world-class technology”. £45 billion promised. Result? Big headlines. Continual downgrading of target. In '07 BSF chief says plans “overambitious and not deliverable” - at this rate would take 74 years to deliver the 99 schools promised for '07 alone. But Government uses BSF as bait to pressurise local education authorities to close small secondary schools. Only 50 schools to be ready by '09.

NHS Constitution. GB (New Year Message, '08): “A new constitution of the NHS setting out for the first time the rights and responsibilities associated with an entitlement to NHS care.” Constitution published this year (GB signs and declares: “historic occasion”... “great day for Britain”). Big headlines. Result? No new enforceable rights given to patients. Purely declaratory/feelgood. Health Secretary talks it down.

Risk and Regulation Advisory Council. Official blurb, '08: “...key part of [Gordon Brown's] drive to improve the way risk to the public - from public health to pensions - is understood and managed by government.” Spun as antidote to Health and Safety, “regulatory overkill”, etc. Times, January '08: “The body for common sense will be set up alongside a national campaign to emphasise the importance of self-reliance and a sense of adventure.” Big headlines. Result? Apparently exists. Website: “Click on an image below to enter a Public Discussion Room, and tell us your views...” Total number of comments when last checked: 29. No other results surfaced. Official busybody set up to check official busybodies - maybe RRAC has silenced RRAC?

There's no space to follow headlines such as Community Kitty for every Neighbourhood; the “New Border Police”; the “Deportation of Foreign Nationals” programme; the capital investment programme creating “100,000 additional jobs”; the National Internship Scheme; or the New Apprentices scheme. Each lived its mayfly half-hour in the headlines. Each then disappeared up its own small print.

Early yesterday morning I was debating Gordon Brown's travails on Radio 5 Live with a plucky Labour apologist. I'm usually poor at on-air rough-and-tumble - not quick-thinking enough. But yesterday it felt like clubbing baby seals. It was just too easy. Something has changed in the upper atmosphere of our politics. The high clouds are blowing the other way. "
