Lily for Leeds? 00:37am on 07 Aug 2009 Just a couple of things:

1. Matthew Hayden. Very pleasantly surprised with his contribution to TMS. Balanced, witty and thoroughly entertaining. As a player, I thought he sometimes came across as a bit arrogant (I guess all top players have a bit of arrogance about them) so I was expecting something along those lines - something of a Dean Jones type. How wrong I was. Top work Haydos!!

2. Lily Allen. Having actually read her twitter updates, I think its actually quite refreshing to see somebody in the spotlight (and somebody I would never have expected to be a cricket fan) so enthusiastic about the game (and she is very enthusiastic about it!). I think a few people need to get off their high-horse about her. She might just surprise you!!
Battered Washington still chasing gold 12:18pm on 15 Jun 2009 Excellent article! You have to feel sorry for the guy to have so much go against him not only in his professional life, but also his private life for absolutely no reason of his own. It speaks volumes about his character though that instead of just feeling sorry for himself, he has channelled his energy into educating the youngsters who are just getting started in Athletics. Surely somebody who is working for the good of the sport in this way should be supported by the IAAF, rather than just being swept under the carpet.

Hopefully he gets what he deserves!
Daylight Droggery! 2:38pm on 07 May 2009 Why do people fail to realise that the reason Chelsea shut up shop in the Nou Camp is because if you try to play an open and expansive game against Barcelona, they are more than likely going to rip you to shreds... just ask Real!!

The other thing that nobody (except Robbo) mentions is that for all their pretty football and endless possession, Barcelona were pretty toothless last night. They had one shot on target all night! In that respect, Hiddinks tactics were 60 seconds from being fully justified. His job is to be successful and if that means nullifying an admittedly better team, then so be it.

Manchester United will probably employ similar defensive tactics in the final, with the small difference being that they can break with breathtaking pace. If Rooney, Ronaldo and co get the chances Chelsea got last night, you could bet your house they'll take a couple. I cant see Barca beating United.
