Why cars are greener than buses (maybe) 10:26am on 20 Nov 2009 I read somewhere that a fully loaded Jumbo jet uses less fuel and produces less emissions per passenger mile than your average family car over the same distance.
The Beach. 09:52am on 20 Nov 2009 Hi froggers, just a few minutes break from RL. Bacon & Sausage geralds with lashing of Tomato Sauce for me please. Large quadlatte before Eddie drinks it all. Hope all is well with fellow froggers and you are not suffering too much from the floods and rain.

Walked the length of the RAMC memorial grove and looked at the plaques for the 29 VC holders. Took photos and sent them to fellow Medics around the world. A glorious day and a wonderful place.

Swallows and Amazons is the first book in the Swallows and Amazons series by Arthur Ransome and was first published in 1930. It is set in the Lake District.

Get a copy, settle down in one of the hammocks with a G & T and enjoy.
The Beach. 12:25pm on 09 Nov 2009 Hi froggers, RL has kept me off the beach for a few days. Must go back and catch up with Diggles & Co. Lunch time, fresh sarniesand/or soup on the bar. I'll have a lie down now, is the puple hammock free?
The Beach 1:27pm on 30 Oct 2009 Hi WIC. One person dresses up as Nelson, with an arm folded as to seem amputated. The party goers assemble in another room and one by one are blindfolded and taken to the room with "Nelson". They are told that Nelson is sat before them and their hand is taken and placed on Nelson's good arm. "This is Nelson's good arm" says the organiser. The hand is then placed on the "Stump". "This is Nelson's other arm". A finger is gently placed on Nelson's good eye "This is Nelson's good eye".

Nelson then moves his head away and an orange with the top removed and a small finger sized hole in the orange held up. "And this is Nelson's bad eye" as the person's finger is thrust into the orange. The result may be imagined!!
The Beach 3:31pm on 29 Oct 2009 Mr Wrath @ 311. A game we used to play as kids, which gave rise to many exclamations of "uuurgghhh" and "aaaarrrgghh" was Nelson's Eye. If you don't know it I'll let you have the rules.
The Beach 09:41am on 29 Oct 2009 Mornin' peeps, been away a while due to RL getting in the way. managed to read all about Diggles and co. Seriously impressed. I'll have a large extra strong coffee and a bacon Gerald please, and then get back to RL. See y'all.
A postal strike looms... 2:43pm on 21 Oct 2009 Has the postal workers union had a ballot to decide who signs the suicide note?
