Del Potro sets seal on memorable US Open 8:48pm on 15 Sep 2009 That is a shocking article, full of jump on the bandwagon non-thought and british bias. Take for example "Del Potro is almost certainly the next number one". You seem to forget a certain world number two who happens to have won 6 grand slams so far and is 23 years old. Nadal may not be in the form of his life right now but he is injured, and should hopefully overcome his ailments, though I am not disputing Del Potro is an incredible talent.
Secondly to move on to Murray, with whom you still claim 2it is not a matter of if but when". I would ask what evidence you have to back this up? I have plenty of evidence against from his utter failure to do so so far and miserable collapses on a regular basis in slams to the fact that he will have Nadal, Del Potro and Cilic to contend with at the very least for years to come not to mention Federer or Verdasco. While it is conceivable Murray may well win a slam it is likely to only be the one and will rely on the failure to perform of others not just his own ability. After all what surface is he going to win on? Clay is Nadal's kingdom, and he is very impressive on grass also, with Del Potro have a game which could be big on that surface. Hard courts perhaps represent his best chance but again Del Potro and Nadal are both proven winners on those surfaces in grand slams, Murray on the other hand is not. The hope for th British is the women of the future Laura Robson and Heather Watson, and long may their success continue.
Adebayor madness mars Man City win 12:12pm on 13 Sep 2009 People please stop and think before jumping on the bandwagon. Adebayor's actions were rash, but he is not payed for his brains but for his ability. Perhaps clus should give training to the players about how to behave. However the point remains that nobody forced the arsenal fans to riot, nobody put a gun to their heads and said you must behave disgracefully, adebayor did not swear at them or make faces at them. No what adebayor did was celebrate having scored a goal against a team who in the end were antagonistic towards him. That he ran to celebrate in front of them, while not wise, was an understandable human reaction, the reaction of the fans however was not. If the players are condemned for the poor behaviour of spectators then the problem of violence at games will be allowed to blossom until it is too big to be stopped. Already English fans are considered to be among the worst in the world, and this iignoring of their major part in this incident will help the situation worsen. A solution must be found and quickly.

Ghost of Owens inspires Bolt 7:52pm on 17 Aug 2009 Bolt just brings a smile to your face. You have to feel sorry though for everyone else in a race with him. Gay would have been the best runner of his generation by a bit (he is better than powell by at least a tenth or two) but then bolt comes along. Usually if you were young you would look and say well once he is gone i will have a chance but Bolt is only 22. it is crazy what he has done and brilliant for athletics. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE.
Is Owen still worth a gamble? 6:50pm on 15 Jun 2009 i'm sorry but you "argument" (I use the word loosely) that owen is a "proven goalscorer" makes no sense. Jimmy Greaves was a proven goal scorer sign him up. what is in the past might back up the present but it cannot change it. Owen is long past his best, and i ask you all would you sign him if he was to come on the scene now as a junior? I think we all know the answer. therefore if you look at him without the history on just plain present day facts, you will all realise his time has come to move down a league or call it a day.

Final trial for Lions Test contenders 6:24pm on 12 Jun 2009 i personally think it is a little worrying the lack of competition for the test jersey. it means we lack depth and the reserve players lack drive. therefore if the first test eam doesn't work it will be hard to change the team for the other two games due to the lack of options left behind.
Ruthless Lions bare their teeth 4:10pm on 04 Jun 2009 welsh rubgy bloke try posting without bias. you think that shane williams should get a test spot because he has quick feet, even though he has been playing so poorly lately that his selection was questionable and was mainly beacuse of who he is. secondly you say you think monye will get it because of his size and strength. well that is understandable dont you think, plus he does also have good feet, is better in defence and is playing exceptinally well.
