Countary to Helping Paulson with his $700 billion bid it makes us wonder whether the market is under real fiscal stress or under extreme paranoid.....when fact and fictions are blurred....we best do nothing and not pay up. Didn't we have yuppie flu in the 80s, did we treat it no, then it was gone!

Didn't Lehmans held out on a sell over its 'over priced' assets....preciptating in its downfall. Pricing derivative trades as opposed to commodities is a tall story. As it was with the dotcom boom when companies were valued and made not a single pence before they became worthless
in 2000.

If the Fed Res' thinks they can rely on the same slide rule that lead to the falls in market values to now do a reversal then it is lacking in due diligents and sound judgement.

So not everyone thinks this is the silver bullet that it is......only in the UK and Non US territories are there a rally

New story for China? 3:08pm on 22 Aug 2008 I'll keep the whole thing a lot simpler and say China's overall success in Golds.....still with 3 days of competition is down to an academy approach in raising talent without the need for its young olympians to worry about the day job!

In althetics they did badly but no country is good at everything so thats an observations
and not critique.

China came third in the althens Olympic medal hoard so I am not sure where you got the impression that the country didn't think it would perfrom this time round.

Lets keep sports and politics seprate shall we.
