Not what Sky's commentators were saying. They revised their estimates for a par score downwards all day and IIRC are now saying 350 would be a good score.

Look at two things:
1) There is already variable bounce and turn with balls going "through the top" on a first day track

2) Large footholes are being created even on the first day - and outside the off-stump of both right and left handers thanks to Mitchell Johnson.

KP makes headlines again 3:02pm on 05 Feb 2009 In tests Viv Richards was out three times in the 90s. Two of those were in his first 26 tests.

Maybe some food for thought for KP. It's not the 3 extra runs that he missed - its the extra 103...
A tactical masterpiece 9:56pm on 19 Aug 2008 Worth remembering two points

1) that Paula Radcliffe - hardly a soft on drug users person - said it was the right decision to allow Ohrouogu back into the Olympic team.

2) Ohrouogu was banned for the missed tests (as was Rio Ferdinand) the issue is whether the rule particular to the BOA regarding a lifetime ban should be applied.

Well if we can predict the winners so easily then we can just do away with the competition all together.

As pointed out the favourite in Breeze's category registered three no-lifts so you can never tell what would happen.

In any case she's clearly the best in the UK at her event, is a former Commonwealth gold medalist. If we leave people like that at home then we'd have a pretty small team.
Why the Water Cube is so fast - and my tip for another GB gold 01:32am on 13 Aug 2008 FWIW Michael Phelps went to the Sydney 2000 Olympics as a 15 year old. As his best result was fifth - ie like Tom Daley he got to the final - it's highly probable that he went for the experience.
