Reviews: In the Loop & Let the Right One In 5:54pm on 13 Apr 2009 Can't wait to see In Loop - am a massive fan of Peter Capaldi / Malcolm Tucker's swearing - best quote ever (to the dithering Ollie) "Come the **** in or **** the **** off!". Also will go and see Let the Right One In - Stockholm is beautiul - but totally grim in the driving sleet and 3 mins daylight of November!! (have purposefully avoided listening to any more than the intro to your review Mark - am going with an open mind.)
What you walked out of 5:46pm on 13 Apr 2009 I walked out of No Way Out back in the 80s. I have no idea what it was about, though I certainly did feel trapped in the Streatham Odeon, with Rachel Ward being extremely wooden. Also slept through most of.. oh god I can't even remeber the title, oh yes, the remake of Solaris starring George Clooney's bum - even that couldn't hold my attention!
Why it's time to let ladies fly 12:18pm on 03 Mar 2009 Looking forward to the outcome of the hearing. Surely VANOC which won the 2010 bid partly on its approach to inclusivity, diversity etc etc do not have a leg to stand on.

And the IOC saying there arent enough elite athletes just doesn't wash - what has happened to the legendary Olympic spirit!!? This is the 21st Century remember!

I'm with you all the way Lindsey and fellow competitors, good luck, and I hope I get to watch you compete in what should be a fantastic Winter Olympics.
Ski Sunday returns 1:50pm on 01 Feb 2009 The men's Downhill was finally cancelled around 1pm as the fog hadnt lifted. I only found this out by looking on the FIS website and Garmisch webcams! The only BBC message said it was "Postponed till 1pm". Can we have some accurate info next time, BBC??!! Also its a shame they couldn't show the women's slalom on Sunday morning instead. Would appreciate a better service in future.

GB show jumpers rue bad luck 7:54pm on 21 Aug 2008 Hopefully anyone who watched the Modern Pentathlon showjumping today will realise the immense skill and ability required to persuade a horse to get you safely over a jump.

Most of these riders were totally unbalanced, jabbing on the reins, not riding positively, so giving the horse confusing signals. No wonder they refused, especially in those conditions.

The GB Modern Pentathlon site says a rider has to be BHSAI standard (which is extremely high) to compete. I only saw Sam Wheale's round, and it certainly didnt look up to that semi-professional level required.

I just hope the horses (as well as riders) were checked over and treated properly after the batterings they received.

GB show jumpers rue bad luck 4:41pm on 20 Aug 2008 PS I am really looking forward to the ice-dancing in Vancouver 2012, and also have enjoyed the synchronised diving - both awarded marks, as in the in freestyle dressage, for artistry and execution. These are all excellent Olympic sports. I don't understand why people are so down on them, especially the dressage. None of the negative postings here have contained convincing arguments.

So please, if you are not into a particular sport, at least don't begrudge other people the enjoyment of watching and/or participating.

Aggers, as far as I know the open water swimming in 2012 is being held in the dock by the ExCel centre, where they currently hold the triathlon.

Jeannie Longo of France was fourth, behind nicole cook in the cycling time trial. She is 49. On the basis of your ageist comments would you ban cycling from the Olympics too?

Also some people have been arguing for snooker as opposed to dressage, I suspect you don't have to be an elite athlete to excel at this 'sport'. Also you could probably same the same for archery and shooting.

So please give the riders and other 30+ Olympians some credit!
