Weather update. 6:08pm on 16 Sep 2009 Please, no music, birdsong, sound effects, or personal opinions about the weather.
I want the forecaster to give region followed by its forecast, preferably taking the same route through the country every day. If you must tell me how nice or horrible it is, or play me sound effects, please do that after we've had the forecast.
Yesterday I spent 7 hours with wet feet because I heard the part about 'another pleasant day' and not the warning about what we actually got, which was a persistant deluge.
The BBC licence free? 7:05pm on 25 Nov 2008 I have not had a TV for years and I would strongly discourage all these people who are callling for a radio licence fee.
If such a thing were brought in it would have to be set at a very low level to not disadvantage the least well off. There are plenty of people for whom 25p a day is a significant amount of money - enough for a Friday night treat of a visit to the chippy, for instance.
How would you regulate the licensing? Many radios (in cars, on phones etc) are not linked to a specific address.
August children.. 5:36pm on 20 Aug 2008 I have a brother born at the end of August, and he is the only one of the four of us to get a first class degree.
Either he is the brightest, or he was used to trying harder - who knows?

Stuff to take to G's tomorrow - cherries, rice salad

Go to Cem to sort out why Lodge have lost power to their shed - done (fuse box was off, now labelled to keep ON)
