Brown's cautious bank reforms 12:17pm on 27 Feb 2009 The whole episode of HBOS and others appear to me BCCI all over again. Then BOE governor described it a criminal culture permeating throughout the organisation. Very high value loans were given to friends and relations who disappeared.

The head of BCCI disappeared to Pakistan with reported 2 billion $s!!!

I wonder if all those loans given to organisations that have disappeared or gone bust have not done BCCI to the tax payer once again. Then BCCI management were clearly involved. There ought to be some serious investigation!!
Why blogs matter to the BBC 9:12pm on 01 Jan 2009 I totally agree with Mr Wilson. Blogs are serving a useful platform to gauge the true public opinion. Of course offensive and illegal blogs ought to be tamed but not censored if they happen to be not in tune with the moderators. The same applies to HYS moderators; I have problems sometimes about their judgement.

Mistaken report: Delhi airport 1:35pm on 06 Dec 2008 It is all to do with BBC's nepotistic intake of arrogant management and self opinionated and self righteous stance they take on every conceivable matter. In my opinion BBC has outlived as a national institution. It has become a job creation institution for its friends and relations. Tax payer is fed up having to feed this parasitic organisation. Sell it off and let its management, for once, earn their living.
The nationalisation of credit 2:27pm on 26 Nov 2008 Both wars have drained American finances completely that created shortage of monies for the general public and hence defaults on discharging their debts. That we call credit crunch! America being the largest importer its market has dried up.

Normal people would take remedial action to reverse the effect of their action they have mistakenly taken. Not for some!! It would be inconceivable! Particularly when one is able to enrich himself and his cronies no matter whatever is the cost for others. This is called GWB’s Capitalism.

I am aware I would be accused of being to naïve and simplistic but in my personal affairs I would precisely do what our politicians find it hard to do. Stay away from commitments that I cannot afford, stay away from so called self serving friends who are only interested to satisfy their ego and cut my losses and back away from lost causes. Invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq was a mistake we should get out and get out now without talking about logistics and all other talks. They are simply excuses which people have stopped to recognise.

At home front few simple things we ought to do as a starter. They are not in any order:

1. Strict control on MPs and MEPs and Royal's expense bills.
2. Reduce the number of MPs to no more than 300.
3. No double job salaries to our politicians.
4. Sell off BBC.
5. Start with exemption of licence fee for all state pensioners.
6. Suspend Human rights Legislation and get rid of legal aid.
7. Take all social housing and payments of housing benefits in state ownership.
8. Triple taxes on tobacco and alcohol
9. Scrap stamp duty on house sales up to £200,000 for good
10. Scrap stamp duty on house sales for owner occupation to £500,000 for the next 5 years.
11. All benefit payments should be no more than the people’s ability y to earn as it used to be before the total need concept was introduced in 1968.
12. All benefits (including health provisions) should be related to people’s record of work/employment in the country. It would be easier and simpler to administer with the introduction of ID cards.
13. I could add few more to this list but this would be a start.
Broadcasting live 3:09pm on 24 Nov 2008 The BBC’s supervisory body said on Friday prank calls by chat show host Jonathan Ross and comedian Russell Brand were ”grossly offensive and should never have been broadcast”, but did not call for Ross to be sacked".

In my opinion BBC's Trust decision on Ross is offensive of greater magnitude than the offence caused by Ross and Brand!! Ross should have been sacked summarily along with those who had the responsibility to control his behaviour.

The whole episode has become a referendum on the way the BBC is funded to feather the lifestyle of its artists, presenters and the senior management.

The public has voted with profound disgust that the present funding arrangements of BBC is NOT fit for the purpose. The very people who can ill afford are being made to pay for the life style of those they hate. Politicians ignore this call at their peril. We need ‘poll tax’ type protests to get rid of BBC in its present form. SELL off BBC now!! GWB could do with few billions of its proceeds
US election coverage 12:14pm on 05 Nov 2008 I believe the world looks forward to sanity replace lunacy of the past 8 years. Right wingers have been completely routed. Never again the likes of Bush and Cheney!!!

Great victory for democracy and secularism! We all hope that America would be a better place and so would be the whole world.

Faith flagger fundamentalists Christians were totally defeated. They did all they could to keep the status quo however sanity of majority of American voters prevailed.

Three cheers to American voters. Please stay that way! Message for the World: Reject - Faith Based Politics, Faith Based Education and any Politician who flag up their faith based policies. I believe Faith - any faith of any religion leads to fundamentalism and that leads to inclination to terrorism against others and each other.

Although BBC has been urged by ministers to end the culture of “fat cat” pay for top presenters or risk cuts to its £3.4 billion a year of public funding, I do not believe they will do anything to jeopardize their life style bestowed upon them by successive governments.

BBC's nepotistic and parasitic culture must be brought to end. While disadvantaged group are suffering BBC management is enjoying royalist insular status at their cost. This must end!

First step ought to be to exempt all over 65s from licence payment, next reduce the BBC tax over the next 3 years gradually to nil payment (just to give BBC chance to adjust to the realities of the world) and then SELL it off to highest bidder and disperse the proceed to improve our infrastructure and open couple of hospitals.

BBC’s DG Mark Thompson may have tried to ‘draw a line’ after this Ross/Brand fiasco but the truth is the public has taken upon themselves to hold referendum on the way the BBC affairs are conducted and how peoples’ hard earned is being squandered for the benefit of friends and relatives of the management.
The result of the referendum is quite conclusive. The public resent being forced to pay for the life style of the likes of Ross and company and BBC’s incompetent management. This is first time BBC has taken some action on public’s concern albeit half hearted!
Personally I regard Mark Thompson’s action too little too late. Our political masters are mainly to be blamed keeping BBC in its present form to have jobs for their boys and have a hold on the organization for political reasons. BBC has been allowed to degenerate into a self opinionated and self righteous organization and this clearly reflects in every part of the organization. Indeed the whole structure of the organization has become self serving to help friends and relatives to keep and create jobs. There are clear examples to see!!
WE DO NOT NEED BBC FUNDED BY ENFORCED LICENCE FEE. Get rid of it NOW!
