Like any country, the government cannot please everyone. Minority cannot represent majority. This is the basis of human right, right?

Because there are some people like you two, which makes Chinese all united wherever we are, whatever our beliefs are. My only suggestion to you is: don't talk so much untruth and make story by yourself, what you get is lifting the stones and hitting your own feet.

The mainstream trend between the UK and China is to communicate, to understand each other by mutual learning. This trend cannot be stopped by some narrow minded people.

China actually stopped people to have fireworks in big cities in 1990s, but received huge complaint from the public. The government had to withdraw the policy around 2000.

I guess China should enforce HSE policy a bit more harsh, but definitely not like something in the UK: many sports activity applications were rejected because of HSE concern. A very safe country (in terms of HSE) to live, but a boring country lack of fun...

The opinion poll shows that the popularity of China is Europe (mainly EU countries such as UK, France, Germany ...), but in Africa and Latin America the popularity is rising. How can BBC conclude that China image is down only by the data in Europe?

There is no surprise that with the traditional western media's selective report about China, it would be very difficult for any country to get high popularity in Europe.

I would be interested in how EU countries' image are abroad. BBC should give a poll about this as well.

To be honest, if you visit oversea's Chinese internet forum, many people (I believe about 95%) agree that if those people obtained power that time, China would be far worse than Russia today and many other countries. China will not achieve what she has achieved so far.

You might not know either that the so called 6.4 elites are like "rats passing the street". Tell me what this mean? Test your Chinese knowledge.
