No carping about Kaka coup 2:16pm on 16 Jan 2009 If you look at this from the point of view that Kaka is purely doing this for money then i think you are wrong.

If Kaka takes does indeed come to the prem i think that he will do his career a great turn.. as he's played at the highest level in Italy for so long and champions league football has been a given in seasons gone past.. AND with City in their current position he has to work harder on the football field than ever before in order to bring city to the place that the owners want to the club to be... and that is top 4 and champs lge football... Having had experience of playing in all the major club competitions on offer he will no doubt, as a professional (and folks lets not forget this fact, he's a perfect role model for kids all around the world) try his hardest and encourage his team mates (who ever they turn out to be?) to do the same... and also in terms of the youth 'project' ongoing at city how good will it be to have this type of role model for the kids coming thru the YTS to look up to and learn from....

btw im a united fan saying all this...

Transfer window not working in the Football League? 09:06am on 28 Aug 2008 In the current climate where media surrounds all of us and we are openly bated to interact by posting our thoughts on blogs or buying the tabloids with their sometimes insane rumours... the transfer windows only add fuel to this fire.

Its important to remember that only since the birth of the premiership and the introduction of money from the TV rights etc has football in england gone from being a game to being a real enterprising business that must compete on a global scale and sell this 'product' to continue to attract the multi-million pound investments from abroad etc.

Correct me if i'm wrong but all the Other leagues in europe have had to undergo similar changes... with this in hindsight you must look at the strides forward the Englidh leagues and game has made in comparison to their european counterparts...

as much as we all may hate or beleve the transfer windows serve no real purpose, it is also important for us to remember that it is this and all the other investment and enterprising that has progressed in the past 10 years that makes the english premier league the best in the world and therefore the teams in the lower divisions an extra incentive to try and get to these heights.
The best transfer of the summer 2:14pm on 06 Aug 2008 Sammy Clinghan for Norwich is probably the best addition imo. He's young, proven at international level with N.Ireland and has been linked with numerous clubs like Celtic and Ipswich to name a few, througout his young career... He was a key player for Nott Forest last season albeit a defensive one but i think that he could well blossom in the Championship this season... He's a great passer of the ball and looks to build team moves from the back... he's got great vision and can strike a quality free kick... Championship Beware.
