BBC HD Channel Up To Nine Hours Per Day 9:53pm on 28 Mar 2009 So that's it then,so much for democracy and customer pressure. Daniella Nagler say's, '' I really have nothing further to say on the subject of DOGS'' So we can all go home and stop bothering her.

Tough on the people, many 100's who have posted asking/beging for their removal both on this Forum and on BBC Points of View. Oh yes and the very same people who pay her wages can now shut up and stop being pesky licence payers who want what they want, not what some BBC marketing jobs worth thinks is ok. Talk about 'the tail wagging the dog'!
BBC HD: "Creeping" DOGs Update 11:05am on 23 Mar 2009 Am I missing something? When I return to this Forum (HD bit) it always first takes me to old posts not to the latest. So you have to fiddle about, scrol down and generally waste time. Perhaps that's the cunning plan, so pesky posters/customers/licence payers, moaning about this and that (DOGS mostly)get fed up and get a life elsewhere!
BBC HD Update: DOG Patrol 2:10pm on 05 Mar 2009 So many months on and dispite an almost 100% continued call by the paying viewers for removel of DOGS, they are still with us, Why?

Some contributers to the Forum even feel obliged to say 'thank you' to the head of HD that sometimes the Dog is removed for certain programes, Why?

The vast majority of the viewing public who pay for the BBC do not want DOGS at anytime or at the very least want the option to 'click' them off are not being listend to and again I ask Why?
BBC HD: "Creeping" DOGs Update 7:57pm on 19 Jan 2009 Danielle ,Just saying it's not good enough and 'human error', new people on shift etc are the reasons for the Dogs creeping back in, is not good enough!
You are the Boss and have said what is to be done. If they don't get it right then demote or sack them!
Bet the rest don't forget again.

Totally agree make NO DOGS the default and have a named responsible shift Manager the only person who can change the rule within the policy that has been set out, posted on the notice board and communicated (via this blog) to the Customers.
BBC HD: DOGs Update 11:00am on 29 Dec 2008 I have done my share of complaining about DOGS and lack of subtitles on freesat HD but have to say now the subs are there (when available) and a start has been made at ridding the World of pointless, usless,in the way/spoiling DOGS; it is worth having HD TV after all!

Come on BBC New Year resolution, take the bold, radical, market leading move and tell the World that having listend to the people who matter in broadcasting, yes that's the viewers/listners not bean counters and marketing people.
You have decided that all DOGS on all channels will go from 1st January, or 31 Dec will do nicely!) Just watch the others follow but it will have been a BBC first!!

BBC HD: DOGs Update 9:06pm on 23 Dec 2008 If I was the Lady Boss of BBC HD I would be jumping up and down (and all over someone) about the Dog spoiling Larks Rise, after all, if you say something is going to happen (or not) and some underling changes it, what next will they try on....after your job perhaps!?
BBC HD: DOGs Update 12:42pm on 15 Dec 2008 Posted a 'birthday' comment last night and had a moan about Dogs, endless HD previews and no subtitles on Freesat HD.

Switched on and WOW! there were subtiles on BBC freesat HD!!!
At last was this because ITV had done it?
Well done anyway.
Now just see sense and make all Dogs, viewer removable with the 'button' (don't mind which colour) Then everyone will be happy; Marketing men, they get to remind us of what we already know. Tech people who 'forget' to switch them off on certain programmes, will have their errors corrected for them (free) and the boss won't need to shout at them after carol concerts!
And most of all, the people who pay, will get what they want! ( odd balls who like them can not activate the remove button and be happy too)

Happy Birthday BBC HD 8:11pm on 14 Dec 2008 One year old and about the same time it's taken and still not there, to get Subtitles on BBC freesat HD.
I see that they are now available on ITV, so how come the mighty BBC can't do it??
Still much to do in my view, such as.....

Remove all DOGS
Stop having trailer loops on the HD channel half of the day and show a programme for hevens sake!

And yes FIX the HD subtitle problem Now!!!!
BBC HD: DOGs Update 7:21pm on 11 Nov 2008 If Dogs were viewed as 'interference' with a high quality broadcasting/received signal, then should not OFCOM get involved, investigate and stop the unwanted practice?

I logged on to their web site and after much digging around found a bit that lets you make a complaint ,they don't make it easy wanting you to 'fit' their exact criteria.
Not had a reply yet. Perhaps if loads of viewers were to do this it might have some effect?

The bloke next door can't mess up my picture with his drill but the BBC and the rest can!
BBC HD: Picture Quality and Dolby Research 9:22pm on 06 Nov 2008 Read with interest your comments Andy Quested, good to hear someone with some 'clout' and tech knowledge at BBC is watching the same programmes as us!

So, is there any chance you could chase up who ever is supposed to be sorrting out subtitles of freesat HD please!

And also do something about the 'abismeow' subtitles on many news programmes Look East local news is one of the worst.
A live programme I can understand,it going wrong but when the report is obviously recorded and perhaps was even shown earlier in the day but still goes out later wrong, has to be unacceptable.
