Speaker of the Commons to resign this afternoon 7:33pm on 19 May 2009 I listened to the Prime Minister this evening and from what he said all three parties would have many new MP's at the next election. Bring it on. I cannot wait: It is very upsetting that none of them will be accused or charged of fraud, feathering their nests and stealing from the hard working workforce.

I live in a road with only 4 houses. I know all about them and invite them to dine with me. There is aout another 34 houses on the same road but are 400 to 500 yrds away from my house. I have met most of them and have found them friendly and very neighbourly. I know a number of others living in differen areas and usually meet them in the Theatre or when out shopping. All - in - All.
I have some lovely friendly neighbours. The thing I like most is that some of them are retired and keep me up with the gossip. How good is that.

The Glass Box. 7:03pm on 05 Jan 2009 A very good evening to you! What bad luck yet again, another company goes under. My comments of a few weeks ago that I am scared that one day when I go shopping there will only be charity shops and supermarkets left. Why does our government allow shops to sell everything instead of having individual shops selling individual items? For example, only chemists selling medicines, off-licences selling alcohol, and supermarkets selling food items and so on you get my drift!!!
Who's right? Paddy? Or me? There's only one way to find out. FIGHT! 9:23pm on 02 Jan 2009 I believe anyone has the right to appeal. Traffic Wardens do not always get it right. I had the misfortune of receiving a parking ticket a couple of weeks ago. When I arrive back to my car, I could not believe my eyes. I got into my car and looked at the ticket it read 13:07. I looked at my watch and it was only 12:55. I immediately saw red. Got back to my office and contacted the council. The kind gentleman on the other end of the phone was apologetic and asked me to put my appeal in writing which I did. I enclosed the parking ticket and a cheque for the penalty. I did not believe a positive outcome. However, on my return from my ski holiday last week there was a letter from the Council waiting for me. Not only did they apologise for the mix up they returned my cheque and offered me a parking permit for one of the local car parks. I cannot thank the council enough for using their common sense. More people should challenge parking tickets or other penalties.
Doctor Who news! 9:02pm on 02 Jan 2009 Hello there. Just recovering from a hard days work. I had planned to listen to your programme but got distracted by the driver of a Vauxhall peopl carrier who drove on the national speed limit at 25 miles per hour and on the thiry mile limit drove over fifty. I tried to keep up with him but chickend out as I need my driving licence for my work. Anyway Who is the new Dr Who? I'm. afraid I shall have to Gogle it. All the best
Stand by for one of the greatest controversial debates of our time. 10:13pm on 01 Jan 2009 I was standing by. However, there were no rational arguments presented. I have just returned from a ski holiday in France and wished we had the euro. Everything was more expensive, but had we had the euro we would be in the same situation as other European countries. Oh and how legitimate is the survey on how many people agree or disagree with having the euro. We should have a referendum on the matter like other countries.
