England exploit SA failings 3:57pm on 30 Aug 2008 England have been on top form since KP taking over, however all this praising is far too early...nothing can be taken away rfom the england performances-world class, all of them, however just think what will happen if england have an off day at lords and then lose at cardiff as well, a 3-2 win which would have been excellent at the start of the series would have a sour taste to it having got into such a good position. Surprisingly i am not a pessimist and believe that england will continue to improve however there is no certainty of this yet and they have to win at least one of the last 2 games unless they want the fickle press to be on their backs again
Outstanding Smith deserves his success 8:52pm on 02 Aug 2008 england either need 4 bowlers all of whom can consistently produce top quality spells or have 5 bowlers...as england don't seem to have the resources to produce 4 consistent world class bowlers they need five. Therefore they also need bowlers who can help out batting (flintoff and Broad) and also a wicketkeeper who can contribute meaningful runs to accomodate the fewer batsmen. (Perhaps Prior).
Harmison should be given a chance at the oval as he has the ability to be top quality but needs to prove it again, whereas sidebottom and anderson will continue to shows signs of ability but never reliable enough to produce against top batters at the pressure times.
At least one of Key, Shah or Bopara should be also included to freshen up the squad.

Brilliant Flintoff brings Test back to life 8:17pm on 31 Jul 2008 Brilliant by freddie, shows how poor the other england bowlers really are...unless major changes occur in the next few days (notably vaughn, colly, anderson and sidebottom) the england team is in dire need of an overhaul.
