Lily for Leeds? 10:46am on 06 Aug 2009 look, the bottom line is, outside the ashes, test cricket has lost it's appeal. so surely, someone as popular as lily allen watching and talking about cricket can only be good for the game? also, people whinging that TMS is targeting the 12yr old age group. GOOD. that's what we need, kids getting involved.
A day at Heathrow as F1 seeks to end crisis 11:32pm on 20 May 2009 i know people bang on about it's great the cars being equal etc, but who preffered it like last year?

you have two big teams fighting for the championship, a selection of teams battling out for the spaces below and teams at the bottom trying to get a few points and providing excitement with overtakes etc.

compare it to the premier league. if every team had a chance of winning the league this weekend, it would suck. but no, you have two teams as of last weekend (liverpool and man u) which was a two/three (inc. chelsea i guess) all season, which has been great, in the same way mcclaren and ferrari were last year. there are similar comparasons throughout, i.e. battles for uefa cup spots, relegation can be compared to the fights for the 3rd/4th spot etc.

so you see, its rubbish this way, thats why that other gp thing never took off, where the cars are all the same but represented by nationalities. people want to get behing a team, have a rival and have passion, like i do with mcclaren, i dont want to see an equal race between 20-odd cars, i want to see hamilton and massa battling for race after race with the odd shock result, not a lottery.

Pietersen will bring a new style of leadership 10:32am on 05 Aug 2008 why are people so negative? we are moving into a new and exciting time of english cricket, let's look forward to it! pietersens a good player and hopefully he'll be a good captain but let's not write him off before the start!

as for people uptight about the whole foreigner issue, they didn't mind when he won the ashes for us, so why now? and if i'm right (i might not be) nasser hussain was born in india, strauss was also born in south africa and they've both captained us.

there seems to be alot of people of the opinion bopara should be filling the number 3 spot.

he is no where near the right person to take that position plus there is a few people ahead of him still. if he was going to play for england, which i am in favour of in the future, he needs to start at 6 or 7. vaughan is a very good player but needs to pull his finger out. and this time keep it out. keep him in for now, if he doesn't do it, give the captaincy to collingwood.

i see where you are coming from to a certain extent, but one thing KP is is disciplined, he isn't a player to come out and whack it one, that seems to be a sort of stereotype of him that's been built up. he generally plays a measured innings with the occasional clumsy or big-headed shot.
Pietersen fails to complete rescue operation 8:47pm on 01 Aug 2008 i think it's easy nowadays to compare the england team to other england teams, such as the footie team, where players are chopped and changed a lot. the difference is, the england cricket team is more like a premier league football team where the same squad is with each other all year round. that's why i think chopping and changing at every chance is wrong, in my opinion it does more harm than good, i know a lot of you will disagree, but i hope you can see where i am coming from here.

Pietersen fails to complete rescue operation 8:29pm on 01 Aug 2008 errr... no he didnt get form because he hasn't gone yet. i meant at the end of this game anyway, if he hadnt got any runs in this second innings, to go away to durham and play some county championship games.

the fact is, you need a lot more than luck to get a 100 in test cricket.
