Coming home 11:50am on 12 Jan 2009 The Scottish Parliament should be given the right to give Scottish passports to those wishing them that were born in Scotland or are born of Scottish parents.

For me this would be one of the best reasons to come home!

Talking Iraq 3:19pm on 17 Dec 2008 Labour nor their supporters should ever be forgiven for this unspeakable act of barbarity.

At the time it was evident to all but a fool that oil was the reason and that Bliar and Bown followed Bush like lap dogs.

Malcolm Rifind summed it up nicely when he said Labour was undrgoing mass denial.

Next time Bungler visits Scotland, oh how good it would be to see a Scottish press hack throw his shoes at Bungler!

Waiting game 09:12am on 17 Dec 2008 This argument over money highlights the reason a devolved parliament was set up by the unionists. It’s a distraction.

Keep the Jocks squabbling amongst themselves how to fund certain items in their budget, whilst the grown ups in Westminster get on with real the business.

The real business being, screwing up the economy of an oil rich country. Took some doing, but hey, Labour pulled it off.

How on earth are the SNP to run Scotland's finances when it is reliant upon pocket money given to them by another country?

This leads two options, can Scotland continue for the centuries to come to be the ever present scrounger with its hand stretched out pretending to be a country or member of the international community reliant upon the wits of its people and the country's material resources?

Bridging the gap 09:07am on 11 Dec 2008 The Scottish Governments announcement on transport are to be warmly welcomed. Assisting both Highlands and Lowlands, also trying balance the environmental issues.

The targeted spending appears to have gone down well with everyone except the regional party that thinks Scottish tax payers money should be ploughed into Cross-Rail (£16.9 + Bn) and Olympics (£10 + Bn).

Strange that that same party appear to be announcing the delay of building war ships? Why would this be the case when same party has stated they would throw borrowed money at the current financial problems? Could it be that they wish to delay announcements until it will be more politically advantageous to them in a general election?

Never mind 'Labour isn't working', 'Labour sinking to new lows' pardon the maritime pun!

The Speaker speaks 09:08am on 04 Dec 2008 Michael Martin's excuse, "It wisnae me, it was the Sergeant at Arms", frankly don't cut no mustard.

Same excuse forwarded by regional labour's Scottish leader Ms Alexander, over dodgy party funding, "It wisnae me, it was my adviser, he told me it was ok".

Same excuse forwarded by labour's Home Secretary, over arrest of Mr Green, "It wisnae me, it was the Polis, I did not want to get involved".

Same excuse forwarded by uk labour's Bungler Broon, over the credit crash, "It wisnae me, it was America, others did not see it coming".

I could go on, but the common theme emerging is that when labour mess up, they do not take responsibility and try to blame someone else.

Not a back bone between them.

"What about poor diet, drink, cigarettes and lack of exercise? Health spending in Scotland is already quite high, how much would you raise it by and who would you tax to pay for it?"

Simplistic answer, prevention rather than cure, spend money wisely, i.e. fix the roof before it leaks. Education and support to people living on the breadline in Scotland. Finns have turned round a chronic heart disease record equal to Scotland in 15 - 20 years, why not Scots?

People living in the schemes engineered by Scottish regional labour (sadly everyone else stood by), need more hope and stake in society than the John Reid solution, i.e. access to 20 fags a day and die a premature, yet lingering death.

No point throwing money at this issue. Solution is education of not only children, but their mums. It's not necessarily what the school can do for a child, but what does the child bring to school? Life chances! Forcing single mums to work, labour’s new solution will not work without support and education being in place for a significant period of time.

It is not in the Union, nor Scottish regional labour's interest to get rid of poverty, they are a barrier to progress as demonstrated by Mr Calman.

Whilst people believe they are subsidised, they will act accordingly, sadly Scotland’s story.

In the long term 09:20am on 03 Dec 2008 The Union has delivered appaling health for Scots, the worst in Western Europe.

Again we are naval gazing discussing the merits of a stitched up report by a bunch of has been toadies.

Our eyes are continually being diverted and misfocused on trivial issues modern countries wouldn't give the time of day to.

Bungler & co in Scottish regional labour party do not care about how or why Scotland's health is so appalling. Hence every so often they will throw a Calman in here, a taking stock exercise over there or an electoral report for next April.

Scottish media know this is a game for governing parties in UK to manipulate and mislead Scottish opinion.

What other country in the world would give up its taxes, natural resources and talent for another to squander?

Core issues 09:16am on 02 Dec 2008 Regional labour Scottish MPs based in England at Westminster, used to lambast the quality of MSPs (including their own) at Holyrood.

Irony of this is not missed on Mr Martin. Would you send Michael Martin to the local chippie and expect him to come back with a poke of chips?

Bungler, Bliar And Meddlesome et al, knew this guy is a complete clown, that's why they put him in the job. Martin is there to take the heat when Labour undertake their dodgy dealings.

Martin's defence has been his accent and humble origins. Sorry, but this is not a defence and it is patronising and offensive to Scots who started their life or indeed continue their lives, just getting by.

The majority of Regional labour Scottish MPs based in England at Westminster, hide from view of Scotland. Who knows what they do except flailing and wailing to save the Union, i.e. their jobs. No Union, what would these people, including Martin do? Second rate shop stewards?

Martin in some respects in unlucky, he can’t hide, but hey, watch the usual excuses about his humble origins get trotted out again, its pantomime season, and Buttons is in trouble again!

P.S. Meanwhile the ailing pound plummets, nice one bungler!

Calman's cautious contribution 09:15am on 01 Dec 2008 The Calman Report is like a job interviewee.

Interviewee can turn up promptly on the day, immaculately dressed with answers that delight the interview panel.

Then when you probe certain aspects of the person's character, i.e. the interviewee's background, the answers become vague.

The conclusion being, this many be the most competent candidate, but they can not be trusted so they don't get the job.

Calman Report is very much like this. It may be the most glossy and well produced report, but I for one would not trust the report nor its findings.

The regional labour party in Scotland would not have commissioned this report with out drafting its conclusions for Mr Calman.

Dodgy dossiers, dodgy arms deals and now this latest nonsense of the arrested Tory shadow minister and whistle-blowing civil servant.

Trust labour, no thanks!
