Bold Pietersen puts faith in Flintoff and Harmison 6:40pm on 06 Aug 2008 Looks ok. As its a dead rubber I would have like to have seen a right hander to play with Cook on opening and Struss at 3. Can Bell open for instance. Just to give the opposite side a bit more grief with field placements at the start.
The only other thing on my mind will Harmison be going to India. I like the idea of him Flintoff and Broad in the same team to bring on Broad with their experiance.
I think England with Broad and Flintoff in the side we should stick with 5 bowlers.

I supposed this is a move to reduce test match cricket to 2 days so they can all go off and earn their money in 20twenty compititions.

Mentioning of Red mist excetra. I think under the circumstance it was a good point. It was after all his first ball round the wicket of that spell.

The other thing I was not impressed with was Collingwood as deputy. Should we not be training someone young so as to prepare for the next ashes down under.

Outstanding Smith deserves his success 11:26pm on 02 Aug 2008 I cannot follow another test match until Vaughan goes. I will sit it all out until he goes. As for Collingwood Last chance saloon hundreds are not what England need.
He also dropped catches.
I am not convinced at all England need Collingwood or Vaughan.
Broad would have been a far better choice as he has more shots with the bat and can bowl.
I hope at 1200 tommorrow bot Vaughan and Collingwood are excluded from the next test.
Try Cook as captain he seem to have a level head.

I agree with him.
Pieterson had great chance to be there at the end of the day and blew it. The shot he played should not have been played. 1st ball around the wicket and he sloggs.
England needed him to do his best to stay there not just to the end of the day but to see off the new ball tommorow.
Its not that he got out but it was a thoughtless shot. The trouble is everyone new it was comming as soon as he started to reverse sweep.
Play as a team do what the team needs.
I feel that we do not have a team just a bunch of guys who only look at there own standing.
If you want to practise 20Twenty fine but not at a crucial part of a test match.

We moan about kolpac players not giving young players a chance yet do not give young English players a chance even when things are dire with some players.
